Peeking Heights
Peeking Heights was a Ferris wheel that opened in 2005 at the long-lived Mystic East area of Chessington World of Adventures Resort, where it provided views of the entire park and on a clear day a view of London, including Wembley Stadium. It was relocated from Thorpe Park Resort where it was known as 'Eclipse' until it moved to Chessington. It was tall, had 18 pods, and was manufactured by Fabbri Group Fabbri Group is an Italian amusement rides manufacturer based in Calto, Italy. Samurai (ride)
Samurai is a flat ride located at Thorpe Park in the United Kingdom. It was originally installed at nearby Chessington World of Adventures in 1999, being transferred to Thorpe Park in 2003. The song played on the ride is a modified version of "Burly Brawl", from the soundtrack of ''The Matrix Reloaded''. Rush (Thorpe Park)
Rush is a Screamin' Swing ride at Thorpe Park in Chertsey, Surrey which opened at the park alongside another S&S – Sansei Technologies thrill ride, Slammer (ride), Slammer, in 2005. At the time of its opening, it was the tallest ride of its type in the world. Many consider it to be one of the best flat rides in the UK. Construction Construction for Rush started late 2004, after ''Peeking Heights, Eclipse'', a Ferris wheel, was removed. It was originally meant to have four air tanks, instead of two. It took around 4 months to construct and test. The ride was installed by Ride Entertainment Group. Ride Opening The grand opening for Rush was at midday on 27 May 2005. Ferris Wheel
A Ferris wheel (also called a Giant Wheel or an observation wheel) is an amusement ride consisting of a rotating upright wheel with multiple passenger-carrying components (commonly referred to as passenger cars, cabins, tubs, gondolas, capsules, or pods) attached to the rim in such a way that as the wheel turns, they are kept upright, usually by gravity. Chessington World Of Adventures Resort
Chessington World of Adventures Resort is a theme park, zoo and hotel complex in Chessington, Greater London, England, around southwest of Central London. The complex opened as Chessington Zoo in 1931, with the theme park being developed alongside the zoo by The Tussauds Group and opening on 7 July 1987, as one of the first themed amusement parks in Britain. The theme park, which features over 40 rides, is now owned by Merlin Entertainments, following its merger with The Tussauds Group in 2007.
