José Pedro Azevedo Ferreira (born 1 September 1987), known as Pedró, is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays for F.C. Amares as a midfielder. Club career Born in Braga, Pedró played lower league and amateur football until the age of 25, upon which he signed for Segunda Liga club S.C. Freamunde. He first appeared in the competition on 12 August 2012, in a 2–1 away loss against C.F. União, and scored his first goal late in that year to contribute to a 2–0 victory at S.C. Braga B. Pedró joined Gil Vicente F.C. from the Primeira Liga for the 2013–14 season. His maiden league appearance took place on 16 February 2014, when he came on as a half-time substitute in a 1–2 home defeat to FC Porto. Braga ( , ; cel-x-proto, Bracara) is a city and a municipality, capital of the northwestern Portuguese district of Braga and of the historical and cultural Minho Province. In association football, a substitute is a player who is brought on to the pitch during a match in exchange for an existing player. Substitutions are generally made to replace a player who has become tired or injured, or who is performing poorly, or for tactical reasons (such as bringing a striker on in place of a defender). A player who has been substituted during a match takes no further part in the game, in games played under the standard International Football Association Board Laws of the Game. Substitutions were officially added to the Laws of the Game in 1958. Campeonato De Portugal (league)
The Campeonato de Portugal (Portuguese for 'Championship of Portugal') is the fourth level of the Portuguese football league system. Together with the third-tier Liga 3, it is organized by the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF). The Campeonato de Portugal was introduced in 2013 as the new third-level championship, under the name Campeonato Nacional de Seniores (Seniors National Championship), replacing both the Segunda Divisão and Terceira Divisão (former third and fourth divisions, respectively). On 22 October 2015, it adopted its current naming. With the creation of the Liga 3 as the new third division from the 2021–22 season, the Campeonato de Portugal was demoted one level.
