Peacefully In Their Sleeps
''Peacefully in Their Sleeps'' is a BBC Radio 4 comedy series written by Chris Chantler and Howard Read. Paying tribute to fictional celebrities, it lampoons postwar popular culture using fake archive footage and interviews. Six episodes were produced, and aired from July until September 2007. Geoffrey M. McGivern is a British actor in film, radio, stage and television, as well as a comedian. Chris Chantler is a British comedy writer, occasional performer, and doom metal musician. His work includes ''An A-Z of The British Countryside'' (BBC 7), ''Peacefully In Their Sleeps'' ( Radio 4), ''Two Posh Old Men'' (UKTV), ''The Milk Run'' (BBC Radio 1), and ''Stairlift To Heaven'' in the Children's BBC comedy showcase slot Gina's Laughing Gear. Howard Oliver Drinkwater Read is a British screenwriter, comedian, and animator best known for his work with his animated sidekick, Little Howard. His other creations include an angry manager with a conversational style and the worldview of Bernard Manning, Roger T. Pigeon, and H:BOT 2000, a robot from the future. Each of these characters interacts with both Big Howard and each other. Howard Read is also known for his on-stage human Guess Who? act: the audience guesses who he has drawn on a large pad of paper, sitting down as their questions exclude those of a certain appearance until only one person is left standing. Jeffrey Holland (born Jeffrey Michael Parkes, 17 July 1946) is a British actor who is well known for roles in television sitcoms, playing comic Spike Dixon at the Maplin's holiday camp in ''Hi-de-Hi!'', as well as BBC Radio comedy, including ''Week Ending''. Paul Putner
Paul Putner (born March 1966) is an English actor and comedian. Life and career Putner was born in March 1966 in East Grinstead, West Sussex. He studied at LAMDA where he won the Kenneth More prize for comedy acting. His first significant TV role saw Putner as numerous characters in ''The Glam Metal Detectives'' shown on BBC2. His real break in comedy came after he set up the club ''The Regency Rooms'' with fellow performers Steve Furst and Oliver Darly. The club developed a cult following and was attended by many comics.
