''Pazza idea'' (Italian language, Italian for ''Crazy Idea'') is a studio album by Italy, Italian singer Patty Pravo, released in 1973 by RCA Records, RCA Italiana. The material was written by Marco Luberti, Riccardo Cocciante, and Paolo Dossena, among others, and produced by Dossena. The album included the popular no. 1 single "Pazza idea" as well as the Italian cover of Lou Reed's "Walk on the Wild Side (Lou Reed song), Walk on the Wild Side", titled "I giardini di Kensington". The LP turned out a huge commercial success, spending six consecutive weeks at no. 1 in Italy. It reportedly is Pravo's best-selling album to date. A Spanish-language version of the album, titled ''Una Locura'', was released in Spain. Patty Pravo
Patty Pravo (born Nicoletta Strambelli on 9 April 1948) is an Italian singer. She debuted in 1966 and remained most successful commercially for the rest of the 1960s and throughout the 1970s. Having suffered a decline in popularity in the following decade, she experienced a career revival in the late 1990s and reinstated her position on Italian music charts. Her most popular songs include "La bambola" (1968), " Pazza idea" (1973), " Pensiero stupendo" (1978) and " ...E dimmi che non vuoi morire" (1997). She scored fourteen top 10 albums (including three number ones) and fourteen top 10 singles (including two number ones) in her native Italy. Riccardo Cocciante (; born 20 February 1946), also known in French-speaking countries and the U.S. as Richard Cocciante (), is an Italian singer, composer, theatre man and musician. He acquired French citizenship. Marco Luberti (born 13 February 1941) is an Italian lyricist, record producer and singer-songwriter. Life and career Born in Rome, after graduating from the liceo artistico Luberti started studying piano and performing as a keyboardist in a number of beat groups.
