James Pazos
James Manuel Pazos (pronounced PAH-zohse; born May 5, 1991) is an American professional baseball pitcher who is a free agent. He has also played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the New York Yankees, Seattle Mariners, and Colorado Rockies. He was drafted by the Yankees in the 13th round of the 2012 Major League Baseball draft. Pazos made his major league debut in 2015. Early life Pazos was born in Gilbert, Arizona, to Julio and Teresa Pazos. His mother competed in volleyball at South Carolina University, and his father competed in wrestling, football, and track at Arizona State University. Amateur career Pazos attended and played baseball for Highland High School in Gilbert, Arizona, from which he graduated in 2009. He was second-team All-Region as a sophomore, All-Region as a junior, and All State and Fiesta Region Pitcher of the Year as a senior. Felipe Pazos
Felipe Pazos Roque (September 27, 1912 – February 26, 2001) was a Cuban economist who initially supported the Cuban Revolution of Fidel Castro, but became disillusioned with the increasingly radical nature of the revolutionary government. Born in Havana, Pazos earned a doctorate from the University of Havana in 1938. He was a member of the Cuban delegation to the 1944 Bretton Woods conference. In 1946, he joined the staff of the fledgling International Monetary Fund that had been established at the Bretton Woods conference. He worked there for three years before returning to Cuba in 1950 to head the newly established National Bank of Cuba for two years at the behest of Cuban President Carlos Prío Socarrás. After Fulgencio Batista took power in Cuba through a military coup d'état in 1952, Pazos became active in supporting the resistance against Batista. Luis Pazos (born in Veracruz on 25 August 1947) is a Mexican economist, writer and politician. He has a degree in Economics and Administration from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (Monterrey TEC), and a degree in Law from the Escuela Libre de Derecho in Mexico City. He studied public administration at New York University (NYU). Academic career At the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) he received a master's degree in public finance, and a doctorate in superior studies at the Law School, where lectured on the theory of economics. He has also lectured on Political Economy at the Escuela Libre de Derecho.
