Payday Records
Payday Records is a New York-based hiphop label that was launched in 1992 by Patrick Moxey. The label began in association with FFRR/London Records, and released in the UK and Europe via London/PolyGram Records. Artists launched via Payday Records include Jeru the Damaja, Jay Z, Mos Def (via his first group U.T.D.), Showbiz & A.G., WC and the Madd Circle. Other associated productions include the works of DJ Premier and Guru of Gang Starr. The label officially relaunched on November 2, 2017, with "Our Streets," a record by DJ Premier and A$AP Ferg. They have also released Pell's girasoul EP. Payday Records’ 2017-present catalog is distributed by Ultra Records. Music videos Payday has worked with world renowned graffiti artists, photographers, and video makers- including Haze, Nick Quested, Andrew Dosumnu among others- to produce visual content for its releases. WC And The Maad Circle
WC and the Maad Circle was an American hip hop group from Los Angeles, California that consisted of WC, Big Gee, Coolio and DJ Crazy Toones. History MAAD stands for ''Minority Alliance of Anti-Discrimination''. Following the dissolution of Low Profile, the rapper WC formed the group and released the albums ''Ain't a Damn Thang Changed'' in 1991 and ''Curb Servin''' in 1995. The albums spawned some popular singles, notably "Dress Code", "West Up!" and "The One". WC would later leave the group and form the gangsta rap supergroup Westside Connection with Ice Cube and Mack 10. WC and Crazy Toones continued working together at Ice Cube's Lench Mob Records. William LaShawn Calhoun Jr. (born February 3, 1970), better known by his stage name WC (pronounced "dub-c"), is an American rapper and actor. He originally was a rapper in the group Low Profile and later formed his group WC and the Maad Circle, who first succeeded with the single "Ain't A Damn Thang Changed". The Watts Prophets
The Watts Prophets were an American political poetry group from Watts, California, United States. Like their contemporaries The Last Poets, the group combined elements of jazz music and spoken-word performance, making the trio one that is often seen as a forerunner of contemporary hip-hop music. Formed in 1967, the group comprised Richard Dedeaux, Fr Amde Hamilton (born Anthony Hamilton), and Otis O'Solomon (also billed as Otis O'Solomon Smith) (O'Solomon removed the "Smith" from his name in the 1970s). Hamilton is the last surviving member as of March 2022. Radhames Rodriguez (born October 6, 1992), better known by his stage name Radamiz, is an American rapper from Brooklyn, New York (state), New York. He is of Dominican Republic, Dominican descent. Radamiz is a part of the Brooklyn-based collective, Mogul Club. Kaliphz
Kaliphz were a British hip hop group, formed in Rochdale by 2-Phaan (real name Mush Khan) and Jabba da Hype (real name Jabbar Khan). They began as part of the breakdance, breakdancing scene in the early 1980s before branching out into spoken word and Rapping, rap as other members joined the musical ensemble, group. The group had a constantly shifting membership, and various name changes reflected this. Leslie Tucker, known as Junior Tucker (born 1966 in Trenchtown, Kingston, Jamaica), is a Jamaican reggae singer, who started his career in secular music but who now sings Christian music. A group home, congregate living facility, or care home (the latter especially in British English and Australian English) is a residence model of medical care for those with complex health needs. Traditionally, the model has been used for children or young people who cannot live with their families or afford their own homes, people with chronic disabilities who may be adults or seniors, or people with dementia and related aged illnesses.
