Pawan is an Indian actor who has appeared in Tamil language films. He made his debut in supporting role in ''Thimiru'', before playing leading roles in '' Sengathu Bhoomiyilae'' and ''Thagaraaru''. Career Pawan ventured into Tamil films by playing Kishore's henchman in Vetrimaaran's '' Polladhavan'' before starring as a police officer trying to outwit Nakul in Manohar's 2009 comedy ''Maasilamani'', with both film going on to become successful ventures. He also played the role of a henchman in the Vijay-starrer ''Kuruvi'' (2008), with his work for the film preventing him from accepting offers for roles in ''Aegan'' and ''Silambattam''. Pawan next featured in Rathnakumar's family drama film '' Sengathu Bhoomiyilae'' (2012) as the film's lead character alongside Mirchi Senthil, but the film met with a low key release and mixed reviews. Pawan Kumar (born 29 October 1982) is an Indian film director, actor, producer, and screenwriter from the Cinema of Karnataka, Kannada film industry. Pawan Kumar is well known for writing the films ''Manasaare'' and ''Pancharangi''. His directorial debut ''Lifeu Ishtene'' (2011) and the 2013 psychological thriller ''Lucia (film), Lucia'' became one of the biggest turning points of his career. Being from a theatre background, he wrote scripts for plays on stage before working as an associate director with Yograj Bhat. He has also acted in the plays he wrote namely "The Final Reharsal" (2002) which is about an actor and reality television and "The woman in me" which is loosely based on the concept that there is a woman in every man and vice versa. Pawan Kumar Chamling (born 22 September 1949) is an Indian politician and the former Chief Minister of Sikkim. Chamling is the Founding President of the Sikkim Democratic Front, which governed the state for five successive terms since 1994. Chamling's 24.4 year stint (December 1994 to May 2019) is the longest ever by a chief minister of any Indian state, surpassing Jyoti Basu's 23 years in West Bengal. Prior to establishing the Sikkim Democratic Front, Chamling served as Minister for Industries, Information and Public Relations from 1989 to 1992 in Nar Bahadur Bhandari's cabinet. Personal life Chamling was born in Yangang, South Sikkim to Nepali parents Ash Bahadur Chamling and Asha Rani Chamling. Operation Pawan ( hi, कार्यवाही पवन ''Kãryvãhi Pavan'', lit. "Operation Wind") was the code name assigned to the operation by the Indian Peace Keeping Force (IPKF) to take control of Jaffna from the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), better known as the Tamil Tigers, in late 1987 to enforce the disarmament of the LTTE as a part of the Indo-Sri Lanka Accord. In brutal fighting lasting about three weeks, the IPKF took control of the Jaffna Peninsula from the LTTE, something that the Sri Lankan Army had tried but failed to do.
