Pavlo Zahrebelny
Pavlo Arhypovych Zahrebelnyi ( uk, Павло́ Архи́пович Загребе́льний) or Zagrebelnyi (russian: link=no, Павел Архипович Загребе́льный; 25 August 1924 – 3 February 2009) was a Soviet Union, Soviet and Ukraine, Ukrainian novelist. Biography He graduated from secondary school in 1941. That same year, when Germany World War II, invaded the Soviet Union, he enlisted the Red Army, participated in the Battle of Kiev (1941), Battle of Kiev, and was severely wounded. After recovering, he was returned to service again and received another serious wound in August 1942. On that occasion, he was captured and was in a Nazi prisoner-of-war camp until February 1945. Upon his release, he worked for the Soviet military mission in West Germany, then served as a journalist at a Collective farming, collective farm. Viktor Andriyovych Yushchenko ( uk, Віктор Андрійович Ющенко, ; born 23 February 1954) is a Ukrainian politician who was the third president of Ukraine from 23 January 2005 to 25 February 2010. As an informal leader of the Ukrainian opposition coalition, he was one of the two main candidates in the 2004 Ukrainian presidential election. Yushchenko won the presidency through a repeat runoff election between him and Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych. The Ukrainian Supreme Court called for the runoff election to be repeated because of widespread electoral fraud in favor of Yanukovych in the original vote. Yushchenko won in the revote (52% to 44%).
