Paulo Nagamura
Paulo Roberto Corradi Nagamura (; born March 2, 1983) is a Brazilian former professional footballer and coach who most recently served as head coach of MLS club Houston Dynamo. He spent most of his playing career in MLS, where he won two MLS Cups and three U.S. Open Cups. Career Youth Born in São Paulo, Nagamura came up through the system of hometown club São Paulo. In 2001, he was sold to English powerhouse Arsenal, and played with the club's youth and reserve sides through 2004, helping them to the English U-19 championship, scoring a goal in the final against Liverpool. He also scored in a pre-season friendly for Arsenal against Stevenage in 2002. Professional Los Angeles Galaxy On March 22, 2005, Nagamura signed with the Los Angeles Galaxy of Major League Soccer. The Colorado Rapids are an American professional soccer club based in the Denver metropolitan area. The Rapids compete in Major League Soccer (MLS) as a member of the Western Conference. Founded in 1995, as part of the Anschutz Corporation, later to be a founding sports franchise of the global sports & entertainment juggernaut AEG, the club is a founding member of MLS, playing their first season in 1996. North American SuperLiga
The SuperLiga was an official North American association football competition between teams from the Liga MX of Mexico and Major League Soccer of the United States and Canada, the top divisions in each country. The competition was sanctioned by CONCACAF, U.S. Soccer, the Canadian Soccer Association and Federación Mexicana de Fútbol and served as the sub-regional championship for the North American section of CONCACAF, much like its Central American and Caribbean counterparts, the Copa Interclubes UNCAF and CFU Club Championship respectively. The CONCACAF Champions League, known officially as the Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League for sponsorship reasons, is an annual continental club football competition organized by CONCACAF. The tournament is contested by clubs from North America, Central America, and the Caribbean. 2006 MLS Expansion Draft
The 2006 MLS Expansion Draft, held on November 17, 2006 was a special draft for MLS expansion team Toronto FC. Toronto FC selected 10 players from a pool of players from current MLS clubs. Format * Only one player could be selected from each team. Two of the league's 12 teams did not have a player selected. * Teams were allowed to protect 11 players from their 28-man rosters. Generation adidas players were automatically protected, though players who had graduated from the program to the senior roster at the end of the 2006 season were not. * Each team could only leave one senior international player unprotected.
