Pauline Roussin-Bouchard
Pauline Roussin-Bouchard (born 5 July 2000) is a French professional golfer. She was number one in the World Amateur Golf Ranking for 34 weeks in 2020. Amateur career Roussin represented the French National Team from age 14 and won the 2015 European Young Masters both individually and with her team. She played in two Espirito Santo Trophies (2016 and 2018) and six European Girls' Team Championship and European Ladies' Team Championships, winning silver in 2018. She representied Europe at the 2016 Junior Ryder Cup and was on the winning Vagliano Trophy team in 2019. She won the 2020 Arnold Palmer Cup with the international team. Roussin enrolled at the University of South Carolina in 2019 to play golf with the South Carolina Gamecocks. She had the best season for a freshman in program history and won five times in her first two years. The Spirit International Amateur Golf Championship
The Spirit International Amateur Golf Championship is a biennial amateur golf tournament which takes place in alternating years with the World Amateur Team Championships. The competition consists 20 countries represented by teams of four (two men and two women) and takes place at the Whispering Pines Golf Club, located 80 miles outside of Houston in Trinity, Texas. Added in 2013, the winner of the individual men's competition receives a sponsor exemption to the PGA Tour’s Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial. Format Teammates compete in a 72-hole best ball competition in which medals are awarded to the top three places in each of the five following categories; International Team (combined men's and women's teams), men's team, women's team, men's individual, and women's individual. Aramco Team Series – Singapore
The Aramco Team Series is a professional women's golf competition that is part of the Ladies European Tour (LET), first played in 2020. The inaugural tournament was played as the Saudi Ladies Team International at Royal Greens Golf & Country Club in King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) by the Red Sea in Saudi Arabia. It was the penultimate LET event of the 2020 season and followed the Aramco Saudi Ladies International. 2021 saw the competition expanded to become the Aramco Team Series, with four tournaments to be held in the United Kingdom, the United States, Spain and Saudi Arabia, each with a US$1 million prize fund. Magdalena Simmermacher (born 23 March 1996) is an Argentine professional golfer who plays on the Ladies European Tour. She was runner-up at the 2020 Ladies Open de France, 2021 Skaftö Open and 2022 South African Women's Open. She represented Argentina at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Amateur career Simmermacher was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the third of four siblings, and played golf from age four. She played field hockey for a well-known club in Buenos Aires and represented Argentina at the ADE in South Africa in 2011 until she decided to focus on golf at the age of 13. Linn Maria Grant (born 20 June 1999) is a Swedish professional golfer who plays on the LPGA Tour and Ladies European Tour. As an amateur, she won the 2017 Ladies' British Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship and was in contention at the 2018 and 2020 U.S. Women's Open. Family and early years Grant is the grand-daughter of James Grant, a Scottish golf professional who emigrated from Inverness in Scotland to Helsingborg in Sweden. The Grant family has had a fair bit of success on Catriona Matthew's home track, North Berwick Golf Club. James won the Scottish Boys Championship on the course, and Linn won the British Amateur Stroke Play Championship there, 49 years later. James died when Linn was 6 years old. The 2021 Ladies European Tour was a series of golf tournaments for elite female golfers from around the world. The tournaments were sanctioned by the Ladies European Tour (LET). The Portuguese International Ladies Amateur Championship is an annual amateur golf tournament in Portugal for women. It is an "A" rated tournament in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. LPGA Qualifying Tournament
In professional golf, the term qualifying school is used for the annual qualifying tournaments for leading golf tours such as the U.S.-based PGA and LPGA Tours and the European Tour. A fixed number of players in the event win membership of the tour for the following season, otherwise known as a "tour card", meaning that they can play in most of the tour's events without having to qualify. They join the leaders on the previous year's money list/order of merit and certain other exempt players as members of the tour. Getting through the qualifying school of an elite tour is very competitive and most professional golfers never achieve it. There can be up to four stages to negotiate, each of them like a regular golf tournament with only a small number of players going on to the next stage. The Skaftö Open is a professional golf tournament on the Ladies European Tour (LET). The tournament is played in Sweden at Skaftö Golf Club in Fiskebäckskil, north of Gothenburg.
