Pauline Bebe is the rabbi of Communauté Juive Libérale, a Progressive Jewish congregation in Paris. She was the first female rabbi in France, and the first female rabbi to lead a synagogue there. Pauline Boutal C.M. (September 8, 1894 – April 30, 1992) was a French-born Canadian artist, theatrical designer, actress and educator. Early life The daughter of Jean-François Le Goff, a stained glass artist, and Louise Cabon, she was born Pauline Le Goff in Lanhouarneau in Brittany. Her grandfather, François Cabon, was also a stained glass artist. She came to Manitoba with her family in October 1907, first living in St. Laurent and then moving to Saint Boniface in spring 1909. Pauline Bird-Hart (born 31 July 1957) is a British retired rower who competed at the 1976 Summer Olympics and the 1980 Summer Olympics. Rowing career Bird married fellow national champion rower Michael Hart in late 1976, then competing as Pauline Hart until 1980. She was part of a composite quadruple sculls crew, that 1974 National Championships. Later that year she participated in the 1974 World Rowing Championships in Lucerne, which was the inaugural championships for women. Bewick was born in Northumberland, England on 4 September 1935, and with her mother Alice ('Harry') and sister Hazel, moved many times between England and Ireland, before finally settling in County Kerry where she lived and worked, near Caragh Lake. She claimed to be distantly related to actress Meryl Streep, through her mother. She was a descendant of 19th-century artist Thomas Bewick. Pauline Bern (born 1952) is a New Zealand jeweller. Early life Bern was born in Auckland in 1952. Career Bern is a self-taught jeweller who began making jewellery while living in the United States in the 1970s. She has exhibited consistently in New Zealand since the mid 1980s. In 1988 she became a lecturer in craft design at Carrington Polytechnic in Auckland (now Unitec Institute of Technology). In 1992 Bern became Head of Jewellery, and continued to teach at Unitec until 2012, working with a number of students who went on to become significant artists in their own right, including Areta Wilkinson, Octavia Cook, Jane Dodd and Joe Sheehan.
