Paula McMath
Paula McMath is a Canadian singer-songwriter from Kingsville, Ontario, currently based in Los Angeles. McMath was named one of Music Connection's ''Hot 100 Unsigned Artists'' in 2006. Her album, ''Because We Bleed'', was released in 2005. Her second CD, ''Trust the Sky'', was reviewed by Paul Zollo, Senior Editor of ''American Songwriter'', who said "it resounds like the work of a mature, experienced singer-songwriter, someone who's been doing this for decades. But like Laura Nyro, Carole King, and others who wrote inimitable masterpieces from the very start, Paula is a prodigiously gifted singer – songwriter who has taken her inherent abilities and soared with them." Kingsville is a town in Essex County in southwestern Ontario, Canada. It is Canada's southernmost municipality with town status. The town had a population of 21,552 in the Canada 2016 Census, up from 21,362 in the Canada 2011 Census. History Kingsville was incorporated as a town in 1901. On 1 January 1999, the Town was amalgamated with the adjoining Township of Gosfield North and Township of Gosfield South to form an expanded municipality. Paul Steven Zollo (born August 9, 1958) is a singer, songwriter, author, journalist and photographer. Paul Zollo is a songwriter, singer, recording artist for Trough Records, author of many books, photographer, and music journalist. He is presently the Senior Editor of American Songwriter magazine. The books he's written include "Songwriters On Songwriting," "More Songwriters On Songwriting," "Conversations with Tom Petty, Expanded Edition," and "Hollywood Remembered." Laura Nyro
Laura Nyro ( ; born Laura Nigro; October 18, 1947 – April 8, 1997) was an American songwriter, singer, and pianist. She achieved critical acclaim with her own recordings, particularly the albums ''Eli and the Thirteenth Confession'' (1968) and '' New York Tendaberry'' (1969), and had commercial success with artists such as Barbra Streisand and the 5th Dimension recording her songs. Wider recognition for her artistry was posthumous while her contemporaries such as Elton John idolized her. She was praised for her strong emotive vocal style and 3- octave mezzo-soprano vocal range.
