Paul Tomlinson (born 4 February 1965) is an English former footballer who played as a goalkeeper for Sheffield United, Birmingham City (on loan) and Bradford City. Bradford City signed Tomlinson for a club record £47,500 from Sheffield United in June 1987, replacing Peter Litchfield in goal for the 1987–88 season. Rotherham
Rotherham () is a large minster and market town in South Yorkshire, England. The town takes its name from the River Rother which then merges with the River Don. The River Don then flows through the town centre. It is the main settlement of the Metropolitan Borough of Rotherham. Rotherham is also the third largest settlement in South Yorkshire after Sheffield and Doncaster, which it is located between. Traditional industries included glass making and flour milling. Peter Litchfield (born 27 July 1956) is an English former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He started his career with Droylsden and played in the Football League with Preston North End, Bradford City, Oldham Athletic and Scunthorpe United. John Ewart (14 February 1891 – 22 June 1943) was a Scottish footballer who made over 280 appearances in the Football League for Bradford City as a goalkeeper. He also played in the Scottish League for Airdrieonians in two spells and won one cap for Scotland at international level. The SFA described him as "a goalkeeper who helped to perpetuate the myth of eccentricity required for the position".
