Paul Stanton (actor)
Paul Stanton (born Paul George Stahl; December 21, 1884 – October 9, 1955) was an American character actor and bit-part player in American films. Originally from Illinois, he appeared in about 130 films between 1918 and 1952, mostly in supporting roles. He often portrayed authoritarian figures like judges, attorneys, managers, officials and doctors. Plot summary "Bobbie" Blake (Marian Marsh) and Phillip Henderson (Gordon Oliver) are complete strangers looking in a jewelry store window, when a hood known as "The Sparkler" (Miles Mander) sets them up to take the rap, stashing some of the loot in their pockets as the gang makes their getaway. ''Charlie Chan at the Circus'' is the 11th film produced by Fox starring Warner Oland as Charlie Chan. A seemingly harmless family outing drags a vacationing Chan into a murder investigation. The film's sets were designed by the art director Duncan Cramer.
