Paul Skinner
Paul David Skinner (born 1944) is a British businessman, and the former chairman of Rio Tinto Group. Early life Skinner was born in 1944 and earned a law degree from Cambridge University, followed by attending Manchester Business School. Career He first worked for Shell as a student in 1963, rising to managing director, but lost out to Sir Philip Watts in the contest to become its chairman. Robert Wilson (businessman)
Sir Robert Wilson (born 1942/1943) is a British businessman. He has been the chairman of Rio Tinto Group and of BG Group. Wilson started his career with Mobil, and then Dunlop Tyres, before joining the mining company Rio Tinto in 1970. He rose to chief executive in 1991. RTZ merged with CRA to form Rio Tinto in 1996, and he became deputy chairman. He was executive chairman from 1999 to 2003. He retired in October 2003 with a £656,000 annual pension, and "one of the largest pension pots enjoyed by UK directors, with a transfer value of £14.6m", and was succeeded by Paul Skinner. In 2004, Wilson became non-executive chairman BG Group, having been a non-executive director since 2002. In 2005, ''The Times'' included him at #28 in its Power 100 list. Philip Watts
Sir Philip Beverley Watts (born 25 June 1945) is a former chairman of the multinational energy company Shell and a priest in the Church of England. Early life Watts was born on 25 June 1945 in Leicester and grew up in the Midlands where his father worked in the textile industry. He attended the Wyggeston and Dixie grammar schools in Leicestershire and the University of Leeds where he studied physics, graduating as BSc in 1968. After university he taught briefly in Sierra Leone before returning to Leeds to study for a master's degree in geophysics (MA). In 1969 Watts joined Shell for whom he worked until 2004.
