Paul Reilly, Baron Reilly
Paul Reilly, Baron Reilly (29 May 1912 – 11 October 1990) was a British designer. Reilly was born in Liverpool, the son of Sir Charles Herbert Reilly, Roscoe Professor of Architecture at the University of Liverpool. He was educated at Winchester College, Hertford College, Oxford, where he read Philosophy, Politics and Economics, and the London School of Economics. He was the Director of the Design Council (formerly the Council of Industrial Design) between 1960 and 1977. Reilly was knighted in 1967. On 20 July 1978, he was made a life peer, as Baron Reilly, of Brompton in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. He sat as a crossbencher in the House of Lords The House of Lords, also known as the House of Peers, is the upper house of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. Paul Reilly (computer Scientist)
Paul Reilly is a pioneer of virtual archaeology and data visualisation in archeology. He was a research scientist at the IBM UK Scientific Centre. He received his B.A. Honours degree in archaeology and history from the University of Leeds and his Ph.D in computer-based archaeological research, at the Research Centre for Computer Archaeology in North Staffordshire Polytechnic. He has worked on many archaeological excavation and field survey projects in Britain and elsewhere in Europe. From 1986 to 1989 he was an IBM UK Scientific Centre Research Fellow and became Research Scientist in 1989. Paul Reilly (born 10 May 1976) is an English former professional rugby league footballer who played for the Huddersfield Giants for 11 years until signing for Wakefield Trinity Wildcats for the 2008 season. He played in the full back position. Background Reilly was born in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England. Career Reilly was not interested in rugby league as a child and only watched a few Huddersfield matches until a friend at school encouraged him to play for a local amateur side. Paul started playing for Moldgreen Under-14s and discovered a real talent for the game. He was playing well at Moldgreen and as a result he attended trials at Halifax Blue Sox.
