Paul Purtzer
Thomas Warren Purtzer (born December 5, 1951) is an American professional golfer who has won tournaments on both the PGA Tour and the Champions Tour. Purtzer was born in Des Moines, Iowa. He attended Arizona State University in Tempe, where he was a member of the school's golf team. He graduated in 1973 and turned pro. He followed in the footsteps of his older brother, Paul, who also played golf for Arizona State and played on the PGA Tour in the 1970s and early 1980s. Purtzer is often described in golf literature as having the "sweetest swing in golf". He won five tournaments on the PGA Tour in three different decades, and won four times on the Champions Tour. His best finishes in major championships were 4th at the 1977 U.S. Open and T4 at the 1982 Open Championship. Bob Lohr
Robert Harold Lohr (born November 2, 1960) is an American professional golfer who has played on the PGA Tour and the Nationwide Tour. Lohr was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and was raised in Milford, Ohio. He attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and was a member of the golf team; he won All-American honors (honorable mention) in his senior year, and All-MAC honors in his last three years. He turned pro in 1983 and moved to Loveland, Ohio. Lohr played on the PGA Tour from 1985 to 1996. He finished in a tie for first place at the end of regulation in three PGA Tour events. In the 1988 Walt Disney World/Oldsmobile Classic, he defeated Chip Beck on the fifth hole of a playoff. In 1993 at the H-E-B Texas Open, he lost in a playoff to Jay Haas. David Edwards (golfer)
David Wayne Edwards (born April 18, 1956) is an American professional golfer who played on the PGA Tour from 1979–2005 and now plays on the Champions Tour. He is the younger brother of former PGA Tour professional, Danny Edwards. Edwards was born in Neosho, Missouri. He attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma and was a distinguished member of the golf team — a first-team All-American his junior and senior years. Edwards and teammate, Lindy Miller, led the Cowboys to the 1976 and 1978 NCAA Championships. Edwards was the individual medalist at the 1978 tournament in his senior year. Mark Brooks (golfer)
Mark David Brooks (born March 25, 1961) is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour Champions. Brooks was born in Fort Worth, Texas. He attended the University of Texas at Austin, where he was a three-time All-American as a member of the golf team. He turned professional in 1983. Brooks has seven wins on the PGA Tour, including one major, the 1996 PGA Championship. He was a member of the U.S. Presidents Cup team in 1996. During his thirties, Brooks began a second career in golf course design, and was a partner in the firm of Knott-Linn-Brooks House based in Palo Alto, California. His first major project, Southern Oaks Golf Club outside Fort Worth, opened in 1999. After his 50th birthday in 2011, Brooks joined the Champions Tour. The Southwest Golf Classic was a PGA Tour event played at Fairway Oaks Golf & Racquet Club in Abilene, Texas, from 1981 to 1988 (the facility was later renamed Fairway Oaks Country Club and is now a part of Abilene Country Club). Corey Allen Pavin (born November 16, 1959) is an American professional golfer who has played on the PGA Tour and currently on the PGA Tour Champions. He spent over 150 weeks in the top 10 of the Official World Golf Ranking between 1986 and 1997 and achieved his highest world ranking of No. 2 in June 1996.
