Paul Page (May 13, 1903 – April 28, 1974) was an American film actor. Born Campbell U. Hicks, he was the son of Robert C. Hicks and Laura Conant Hicks. Page attended Baltimore Polytechnic Institute and graduated from St. John's College in Annapolis with a degree in engineering. ''The Road to Ruin'' is a 1934 pre-Code exploitation film directed by Dorothy Davenport, under the name "Mrs. Wallace Reid", and Melville Shyer, and written by Davenport with the uncredited contribution of the film's producer, Willis Kent. The film, now in the public domain, portrays a young woman whose life is ruined by sex and drugs. Plot Ann Dixon and Eve Monroe are high school friends. ''Born Reckless'' is a 1930 American pre-Code crime film directed by John Ford and staged by Andrew Bennison from a screenplay written by Dudley Nichols based on the novel ''Louis Beretti''. The film starred Edmund Lowe, Catherine Dale Owen and Marguerite Churchill. Plot A gangster, Louis Beretti, gets caught involved in a jewelry heist and taken to see the judge. The war has begun and hoping to use the publicity to get re-elected, the judge offers Louis and his two buddies, the choice of going to jail, or signing up to fight in the war - if they prove themselves, he will throw away their arrests.
