Paul Nastasiuk
Paul Gerard Nastasiuk (born July 11, 1963 in Newmarket, Ontario) is a retired professional Canadian football player. Nastasiuk played seven seasons in the Canadian Football League. He won the Grey Cup as a member of the 1991 Toronto Argonauts team. Nastasiuk was inducted into the Wilfrid Laurier University Golden Hawk Hall of Fame in 2000, and into the Barrie Sports Hall of Fame 2008. Family His son, Zach Nastasiuk (born March 30, 1995), was drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in the 2013 NHL Draft The 2013 NHL Entry Draft was the 51st NHL Entry Draft. All seven rounds of the draft took place on June 30, 2013, at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Newmarket, Ontario
Newmarket ( 2021 population: 87,942) is a town and regional seat of the Regional Municipality of York in the Canadian province of Ontario. It is part of Greater Toronto in the Golden Horseshoe region of Southern Ontario. The name stems from the fact that the settlement was a "New Market", in contrast to York as the ''Old Market''. The town was formed as one of many farming communities in the area, but also developed an industrial centre on the Northern Railway of Canada's mainline, which was built in 1853 through what would become the downtown area. The Owen Sound Attack are a junior ice hockey team in the Ontario Hockey League based in Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada. Based in Owen Sound since 1989, and operating under the current name since 2000, the Attack play their home games at the J.D. McArthur Arena inside the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre. History The Owen Sound OHL franchise was born when the Holody family moved the Guelph Platers to the city for the 1989–90 OHL season. The team kept the name of Owen Sound Platers. The Owen Sound Attack were born in the late summer of the year 2000 as a community-based OHL franchise. When the Holody family decided to sell the Owen Sound Platers buyers were sought from any city.
