Paul Moore (banking Manager)
Paul Russell Moore (30 October 1958 – September 28, 2020) was best known as the HBOS whistleblower following his dismissal from Halifax Bank of Scotland in 2004. Moore was the bank's Head of Group Regulatory Risk and was fired from the role by HBOS Group Chief Executive Office James Crosby following his warnings to the Board about HBOS's risky sales strategies. In 2009 Moore's evidence about HBOS was presented to the UK House of Commons Treasury Select Committee and resulted in James Crosby resigning as Deputy Chairman of the Financial Services Authority (now the Financial Conduct Authority). Crosby, who was also an adviser to the then British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, later gave up his knighthood and part of his pension after a Parliamentary report was highly critical of his, HBOS Chairman Lord Dennis Stevenson and HBOS CEO Andy Hornby's management of the bank. Bud Moore (racing Driver)
Paul "Bud" Moore (December 7, 1940 – August 1, 2017) was an American NASCAR driver born in Charleston, South Carolina. He was sometimes known as "Little Bud" to avoid confusion with a NASCAR owner with the same name. Career Moore's first-ever race in NASCAR was in the Grand National Series on August 2, 1964. He started the race in a 1963 Ford, but dropped within three laps due to overheating problems. His best season of his racing career was in 1965, where he managed to grab three top fives, seven top tens, and even a pole, driving Louis Weatherbee's No. 45 Plymouth and competing in just fourteen races. Moore's best season in the point standings, however, was in 1968, where he finished 29th in those standings. Bud's final race in his relatively short career was five years after his second to last race, at the 1973 Southern 500 at the Darlington Raceway. Paul Moore is a Canadian former soccer player who played most notably in the USL A-League, National Professional Soccer League, and with various Canadian soccer leagues. Club career Early career Moore began his professional career in the Canadian National Soccer League with St. Catharines Wolves in 1995 and had a two-year tenure with the club. During his tenure with St. Catharines he achieved the CNSL Championship, and two league cups. Toronto Lynx On April, 1997 he signed with expansion franchise the Toronto Lynx in the USL A-League, his signing was announced in a press conference which revealed the team roster. Moore made his debut for the club on April 12, 1997 in the Lynx's first official match against Jacksonville Cyclones; the game would eventually result in a 3-1 defeat for the fledgling side. Paul David Moore (born 10 June 1961) is a former Irish first-class cricketer. Moore was born at Bangor in County Down in June 1961, and was educated at Sullivan Upper School. A wicket-keeper at club level for Holywood and North Down, he played one first-class cricket match for Ireland against Scotland at Dundee in 1992. In a drawn match, Moore batted once, ending Ireland's first-innings of 280 unbeaten without scoring. He also took two catches behind the stumps in Scotland's first-innings. Paul Moerschbacher (July 22, 1916 – June 9, 2010), better known as Paul Moer, was an American jazz pianist. Moer attended the University of Miami, graduating in 1951, and following this played frequently on the West Coast jazz scene with Benny Carter, Vido Musso, Zoot Sims, Stan Getz, Bill Holman, and Shorty Rogers. Moer did extensive work in Los Angeles studios as a pianist and an arranger. He led his own trio in the late 1950s with Jimmy Bond and Frank Butler. In 1960 he toured Australia with Benny Carter. He also recorded with Charles Mingus, Jack Montrose, John Graas, Paul Horn (1960–63), Ruth Price, and Buddy DeFranco. Moer played little after the 1960s, though he made a comeback with a release in 1991 of Elmo Hope tunes.
