Paul McGettigan
Paul McGettigan (born 1957/8) is a former Gaelic footballer, manager and barrister. He played inter-county football for Donegal and Galway. His club career included time with Donegal club St Eunan's and Galway clubs Salthill, St Grellan's and Corofin. He played in midfield. Early life and education McGettigan was born to footballer James "Gouldie" McGettigan and his wife Cora (''née'' Embleton). He was one of four daughters and seven sons (including fellow Donegal footballer Leslie). One of McGettigan's brothers died at the age of sixteen in 1986 and another at the age of forty in 2009. McGettigan attended Gormanston College in East Meath. With them he was part of the 1973 All-Ireland Hogan Cup winning team that saw off St Jarlath's College of Tuam in the final. St Eunan's GAA
St Eunans GAA ( ; or ''Naomh Adhamhnáin'') is a dual club which plays hurling and Gaelic football. Their home ground is O'Donnell Park in Letterkenny. They field 35 teams, making them the biggest club in their county. One of the strongholds of Gaelic football in County Donegal, they have won the joint most Donegal Senior Football Championship along with Gaoth Dobhair who have also won 15. Pauric McShea
Pauric McShea is an Irish Gaelic football pundit and former player for Aodh Ruadh and the Donegal county team. He works as a match analyst for Ocean FM. He also writes a weekly column, "McShea's Say", for the ''Donegal Post''. He played at full-back. He had a high-scoring game against Armagh in the 1967 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship. He was part of the final team as Donegal won the 1972 Ulster Senior Football Championship. Then he captained Donegal to the 1974 Ulster Senior Football Championship. His mother is from County Tyrone. 1974 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship
The 1974 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship was the 88th staging of the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship, the Gaelic Athletic Association's premier inter-county Gaelic football tournament. The championship began on 19 May 1974 and ended on 22 September 1974. Cork were the defending champions, however, they were defeated by Dublin in the All-Ireland semi-final. On 22 September 1974, Dublin won the championship following a 0–14 to 1–6 defeat of Galway in the All-Ireland final. This was their 18th All-Ireland title, their first in eleven championship seasons. Ulster Senior Football Championship
The Ulster Senior Football Championship is an inter-county competition for Gaelic football teams in the province of Ulster. It is organised by the Ulster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) and begins in early May. The final is usually played on the third Sunday in July. All nine Ulster counties participate. It is regarded as hardest to win of the four provincial football championships. At a referee conference in January 2015, David Coldrick said about officiating in the competition: "Ulster makes or breaks you. It can be a graveyard. The games are different. Donegal Senior Football Championship
The Donegal Senior Football Championship (abbreviated as Donegal SFC) is an annual football competition organised by Donegal GAA and contested by the highest-level clubs, to determine the best team in County Donegal. Since 2016, it has been known as Michael Murphy Sports and Leisure Donegal SFC after its headline sponsor. Initially a straight knock-out competition, the Donegal SFC added a round-robin group stage in 2013. The final is played at MacCumhaill Park in Ballybofey. The winning club qualifies to represent its county in the Ulster Senior Club Football Championship, the winners of which go on to compete in the All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship.
