Paul Kariuki Njiru
Paul Kariuki Njiru (born March 11, 1963) is the Bishop of Roman Catholic Diocese of Wote Diocese in Kenya. Seminary formation and studies Paul Kariuki Njiru was born in Kyeni, Embu. After schooling, he studied at St. Joseph's seminary and then St. Thomas Aquinas seminary in Nairobi. In 1991 the Pontifical Urban University awarded him a bachelor's degree for his studies while in Kenya. He was ordained to the priesthood for the Diocese of Embu on March 1, 1993. As a parish priest, he worked in Kairuri parish and served as diocesan youth chaplain. He was the education secretary for Catholic schools in Embu Diocese. Having studied for six years in Rome, he was then awarded an S.T.L. (1999) and an S.T.D. (2002) in Biblical Theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University. Anthony Muheria (born 27 May 1963) is a Kenyan Catholic bishop who serves as Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Nyeri. He was appointed Archbishop of Nyeri on 23 April 2017. Background and priesthood Anthony Muheria was born on 27 May 1963, in Kaburugi Parish, in the Diocese of Muranga, in present-day Muranga County. After high school, he studied at the University of Nairobi, graduating in 1984, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. John Njue
John Njue (born 1944) is a Kenyan Cardinal of the Catholic Church. He was the fourth Archbishop of Nairobi from 2007 to 2021. He previously served as Coadjutor Archbishop of Nyeri from 2002 to 2007 and Bishop of Embu from 1986 to 2002. He was elevated to the rank of cardinal in 2007. Biography Njue was born in Embu, Kenya, in 1944 to Joseph Nyanga Kibariki and Monica Ngina Nyaga. He was baptized in 1948, and entered the minor seminary in Nkubu in 1962. From 1967 to 1974, he furthered his studies in Rome at the Pontifical Urbaniana University (where he obtained a licentiate in philosophy) and Pontifical Lateran University (licentiate in pastoral theology).
