Paul Harvey, Jr.
Paul Harvey Aurandt Jr. (born 1948 or 1949), is an American pianist, radio broadcaster and a former host of ''News and Comment'' on ABC Radio Networks. He is the only child of Paul Harvey and his wife Lynne. Harvey's version of the show was significantly different in that it was not time sensitive, taped in advance (as opposed to the same-day recordings his father performed), and focused on non-current topics such as "scientific developments, medicine, unusual phenomena and other stories that are not directly connected to the day's news", and often contained "no time-sensitive or topical material". As a result, several stations either moved the program to less prominent time slots or dropped it outright. Harvey hosted the morning edition of ''News and Comment'' starting in April 2008, when his father left that edition of the show. He ended the broadcasts by saying, "Now ''that's news''". Prior to that, Harvey announced the bumpers leading in and out of his father's show and hel ...

Citadel Media
Cumulus Media Networks was an American radio network owned and operated by Cumulus Media. From 2011 until its merger with Westwood One, it controlled many of the radio assets formerly belonging to the American Broadcasting Company (ABC), which was broken up in 2007; Cumulus owned the portion of the network that was purchased by Citadel Broadcasting that year. The network adopted its final name in September 2011, following Cumulus's acquisition of Citadel; prior to this, it had been known as Citadel Media Networks since April 2009, after licensing the "ABC Radio Networks" name from The Walt Disney Company for nearly two years. ABC now operates a revived ABC Radio Network that owns no stations but produces mostly short-form audio content. It was also (as ABC Radio Networks) the penultimate of the major radio networks to still be owned by its original founding company until 2007, CBS Radio being the last. Mutual Broadcasting Network was dissolved in 1999, and then NBC Radio Netw ...

Evergreen (journalism)
Within the context of journalism and broadcasting, evergreen content is content that is not time-sensitive. Evergreen content does not rely on current events; thus, an evergreen story can be prepared, then mothballed until it is needed to fill time on a slower news day or on a holiday when fewer journalists are on duty. The term is derived from evergreen trees. An evergreen news magazine has more flexibility in production, not having to be produced on a set time frame; instead of producing a new newscast every day or week, a show consisting of evergreen content can produce several episodes at once and release them in sequence. In contrast, such content is not as responsive to breaking developments. Feature stories and human interest stories are usually evergreen. The term is also used for long-lasting content in marketing materials and advertising. Evergreen television shows are ideal for reruns. '' Seinfeld'', for example, has been one of the most successful sitcoms in off-networ ...

The Rest Of The Story
''The Rest of the Story'' was a Monday-through-Friday radio program originally hosted by Paul Harvey. Beginning as a part of his newscasts during the Second World War and then premiering as its own series on the ABC Radio Networks on May 10, 1976, ''The Rest of the Story'' consisted of stories presented as little-known or forgotten facts on a variety of subjects with some key element of the story (usually the name of some well-known person) held back until the end. The broadcasts always concluded with a variation on the tag line, "And now you know...the ''rest'' of the story." On the majority of radio stations, it often served as a mid-afternoon drive counterpart to Harvey's noontime ''News and Comment''. From its inception, the scripts for the series had been drafted and the broadcasts produced by Harvey's son Paul Harvey Jr., who in later years of his father's career also acted as a substitute host. Some of the radio stories were published in book form as ''The Rest of the Story ...

Three years later, Bruce DuMont, founder, president, and CEO of the Museum of Broadcast Communications, assumed control of the Hall, moved its base of operations to Chicago, and incorporated it into the MBC. It has been described as being dedicated to recognizing those who have contributed to the development of the radio medium throughout its history in the United States. The NRHOF gallery was located on the second floor of the MBC, at 360 N. State Street, from December 2011 until October 2017, when the traveling exhibit "''Saturday Night Live'': The Experience" was installed on the second and fourth floors. In September 2018 the MBC's board of directors was reportedly close to finalizing a deal to sell the museum's third and fourth floors to Fern Hill, a real estate development and investment firm, according to Chicago media blogger Robe ...
