Paul Gray (American Musician)
Paul Dedrick Gray (April 8, 1972 – May 24, 2010) was an American musician, also known as the Pig. He was the bassist, backing vocalist, main songwriter and one of the founding members of the heavy metal band Slipknot, in which he was designated #2. Early life and career Paul Dedrick Gray was born in Los Angeles, California. Later his family relocated to Des Moines, Iowa. He played guitar but switched to bass after he relocated to Iowa. In his youth, Gray performed in bands such as Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, Anal Blast, Vexx, Body Pit, The Have Nots and Inveigh Catharsis. At the time of his death, he was one of three original members of Slipknot remaining in the band, and the only one who had maintained his original role in the band due to Clown's switch from main drums to percussion during the early days. Paul Richard Charles Gray, (born 2 August 1948) is a British former civil servant who was chairman of HM Revenue & Customs until he resigned on 20 November 2007. Early career Paul Gray joined the Civil Service in 1969 as an economist at HM Treasury. During his time there he variously worked on agriculture, industry, and employment issues, and co-ordinated the Public Expenditure Survey process. Except for two years working for Booker McConnell Ltd in the late 1970s as a corporate planner, he remained at the Treasury until 1988, when he was appointed private secretary for economic affairs to the prime minister, Margaret Thatcher. After two years, Gray returned to the Treasury in 1990, where he worked on monetary policy, serving as a member of the EU Monetary Committee. From 1995 to 1998 he was director of budget and public finances, taking overall responsibility for the Finance Bill process. Paul Murray Granville Gray (born 1 August 1958) is an English rock musician notable for playing with the bands Eddie and the Hot Rods and The Damned. Biography Paul Gray was born in Leigh-on-Sea. Inspired by a Hawkwind gig he attended, Gray started learning bass guitar at the age of 13, his playing influenced by bassists such as Steve Currie, Lemmy, John Entwistle, Felix Pappalardi and Roger Glover. He joined Eddie and the Hot Rods as bassist after answering an advert in the ''Southend Evening Echo''. The band had several hit singles and albums in the late 1970s, including "Do Anything You Wanna Do". While working with Eddie and the Hot Rods, he also recorded bass for Larry Wallis, Rob Tyner and Johnny Thunders, as well as filling in as temporary bassist for The Members. Paul Gray (born 25 May 1969) is a retired Welsh athlete who competed in the 110 metres hurdles and 400 metres hurdles. Paul Gray (footballer)
Robert Paul Gray (born 28 January 1970 in Portsmouth) is a Northern Irish former footballer who played as a forward. Club career Gray started his career in Northern Ireland with Bangor, and was still a teenager when he began playing for the first-team before moving to Luton Town in 1986. He rose through the youth ranks at the club, eventually signing professional terms in 1988. He made his first-team debut in December 1989 against Arsenal. He made six further appearances during the 1989–90 season, but did not feature the following season, and was sold to Wigan Athletic. He made his debut for the Latics in August 1991 against Shrewsbury Town. Gray appeared five times in the first-team before suffering a serious ankle injury against Sheffield United which ended his professional career. Paul Gray (1930 – May 10, 2012) was an American information systems pioneers, and Professor Emeritus at Claremont Graduate University where he was the founding chair of The School of Information Systems and Technology. The School of Information Systems and Technology at Claremont Graduate University is the home of the Paul Gray PC Museum. Paul Francis Gray (28 November 1963 – 24 April 2018) was an Australian songwriter, pianist, singer and record producer. He met with early success as the lead vocalist for the 1980s funk/pop band Wa Wa Nee. After the disbanding of Wa Wa Nee, Gray concentrated on work as a keyboard player, musical director, songwriter and producer. He worked with many highly successful Australian artists, including Tina Arena, Kate Ceberano and Bardot. Gray appeared in the Countdown Spectacular 2 concert series in Australia between late August and early September 2007 as a performer and musical director. He sang two songs: "Stimulation" and "Sugar Free". In 2012, Gray appeared on an episode of ''Myf Warhurst’s Nice'', singing a duet of " Islands in the Stream" with Warhurst.
