Paul Fry (baseball)
Paul Raymond Fry (born July 26, 1992) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Toronto Blue Jays organization. He made his Major League Baseball (MLB) debut with the Baltimore Orioles in 2018 and has also played for the Arizona Diamondbacks. Amateur career After graduating from Waterford Kettering High School in Waterford, Michigan, Fry enrolled at St. Clair County Community College. In 2013, his sophomore year, he went 6-1 with a 1.80 ERA with 97 strikeouts in 55 innings. Professional career Seattle Mariners After the season, Fry was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the 17th round of the 2013 Major League Baseball draft. He signed and spent 2013 with the Arizona League Mariners where he was 2-3 with a 4.50 ERA in 34 innings pitched. He pitched for the Single-A Clinton LumberKings in 2014, posting a 4-4 record and 2.71 ERA in 28 relief appearances. Baltimore Orioles
The Baltimore Orioles are an American professional baseball team based in Baltimore. The Clinton LumberKings are a collegiate summer baseball team of the Prospect League. They are located in Clinton, Iowa, and play their home games at NelsonCorp Field. From 1956 to 2020, they were members of Minor League Baseball's Midwest League. Reno Aces
The Reno Aces are a Minor League Baseball team of the Pacific Coast League (PCL) and the Triple-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks. They are located in Reno, Nevada, and play their home games at Greater Nevada Field, which opened in 2009. The Bowie Baysox are a Minor League Baseball team located in Bowie, Maryland. They are the Double-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, and play in the Eastern League. Their home ballpark is Prince George's Stadium. History From 1989 to 1992, the Orioles' Double-A affiliate was located in Hagerstown, Maryland and called the Suns. When Major League Baseball added two teams in 1993, bids were offered for two new Triple-A franchises, and the Maryland Baseball Limited Partnership (which owned the Suns and also the Advanced-A Frederick Keys) got into the running to put one of the new franchises in central Maryland. The Norfolk Tides are a Minor League Baseball team of the International League and the Triple-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles. They are located in Norfolk, Virginia, and are named in nautical reference to the city's location on the Chesapeake Bay. The team plays their home games at Harbor Park, which opened in 1993. Michael Barrett Freeman (born August 4, 1987) is an American former professional baseball utility player. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Arizona Diamondbacks, Seattle Mariners, Los Angeles Dodgers, Chicago Cubs, Cleveland Indians, and Cincinnati Reds. Career Amateur Freeman attended Edgewater High School in Orlando, Florida. Out of high school he was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 41st round of the 2006 Major League Baseball draft. Spring training is the preseason in Major League Baseball (MLB), a series of practices and exhibition games preceding the start of the regular season. Spring training allows new players to try out for Schedule (workplace), roster and position spots, and gives established players practice time prior to competitive play.
