Paul Delaney (hurler)
Paul Delaney (born 27 November 1966) is an Irish retired hurler. His league and championship career with the Tipperary senior team spanned eleven seasons from 1986 to 1997. Delaney first appeared for the Roscrea club at juvenile and underage levels, before eventually joining the club's senior team, however, he ended his career without a county championship medal. Delaney made his debut on the inter-county scene when he was selected for the Tipperary minor team in 1984. He enjoyed one unsuccessful championship seasons with the minor team before subsequently joining the under-21 team with whom he won an All-Ireland medal with in 1985. Delaney made his senior debut during the 1986-87 league. The highlight of his eleven year senior career came in 1991 when he won his sole All-Ireland medal. Paul Delaney (professor)
Paul Delaney is a university professor emeritus of physics and astronomy at York University in Toronto. He was also the Director (education), director of the Allan I. Carswell Astronomical Observatory, as well as the Master of Bethune College at York University, York, before he retired at the end of 2021. Delaney has his Master of Science, master's degree in science. He has taught at York University since 1986. He earned his Bachelor of Science in experimental physics at the Australian National University in Canberra and his master's degree in astronomy at the University of Victoria. Delaney has been the recipient of many faculty of science and engineering awards at York University. One of his classes deals with the possibility of life on Mars (planet), life on Mars. Paul Lewis Delaney III (born August 30, 1986) is an American professional basketball player for Elitzur Eito Ashkelon of the Israeli National League. He played college basketball for the University of Alabama at Birmingham before playing professionally in Israel, Russia, Ukraine and France. Early life and college career Delaney attended Chamblee Charter High School in Chamblee, Georgia, where he averaged 21.5 points, 8.6 rebounds and 5.0 assists per contest as a senior. Delaney was rated as the 43rd best player in the Southeast according to Hoop Scoop magazine, earning Nike All-American honors in 2003.
