Paul Craig (soccer)
Paul Craig (born March 14, 1988) is a Canadian soccer player most well known for his time spent with FC Edmonton. Career Youth and amateur Craig came to recognition through his performance with his university team, UPEI Panthers. Craig was team MVP, a CIS second team all-star, and was second in the country in goals in his last year with the Panthers. Craig then transferred to the University of Saskatchewan and after sitting out a season as per CIS rules, he went on to be a key component in getting the Huskies to a franchise best second-place finish in the CIS West, leading the team with nine assists in 13 games. Craig also found success at the amateur club level with the Avondale Islanders. Craig led the team to a Bronze Medal at the 2008 Canadian National Challenge Cup, leading the tournament with six goals in four matches for the Islanders. Charlottetown
Charlottetown is the capital and largest city of the Canadian province of Prince Edward Island, and the county seat of Queens County. Named after Queen Charlotte, Charlottetown was an unincorporated town until it was incorporated as a city in 1855. It was the site of the famous Charlottetown Conference in 1864, the first gathering of Canadian and Maritime statesmen to discuss the proposed Maritime Union. This conference led, instead, to the union of British North American colonies in 1867, which was the beginning of the Canadian confederation. PEI, however, did not join Confederation until 1873. From this, the city adopted as its motto ''Cunabula Foederis'', "Birthplace of Confederation". Montreal Impact (1992–2011)
The Montreal Impact (french: Impact de Montréal) was a Canadian professional association football, soccer club based in Montreal, Quebec. Founded in 1993, the team played in the United Soccer League. Later, the Impact played in the North American Soccer League (2011), North American Soccer League (NASL), the second tier of the American Soccer Pyramid until the 2011 season. The owner Joey Saputo now operates the Major League Soccer, MLS team CF Montréal, which also carried the Montreal Impact name until 2021. The team played its home games at Complexe Sportif Claude-Robillard until 2008 when it moved to the new Saputo Stadium where it played until its move to MLS. The team's colours were blue and white. The Impact had 11 different head coaches during these years.
