Paul Caffrey
Paul Caffrey is a former Gaelic footballer who played for the Na Fianna club and for the Dublin county team. He is also a former manager of his county team and is a Dublin-based Garda. Background Caffrey grew up on Dorset Street on the Northside of Dublin, where his parents ran a greengrocers' shop. His football career began in St. Vincent's C.B.S. school in Glasnevin and nearby club Na Fianna. Caffrey represented his county at minor and senior level, and is a brother of John Caffrey, who won a senior All-Ireland medal in 1983. Caffrey is a member of the Garda Síochána and is stationed at Store Street Garda Station, Dublin. Paul Clarke (Irish Footballer)
Paul Clarke (born 1966 in County Dublin, Ireland) is a former Gaelic footballer who played for the Whitehall Colmcille club and was a senior member of the Dublin county team for a number of years, starting in 1985. He won his only All-Ireland medal in 1995, the same year in which he won his only All Star award. Married in 2015 to Emer Mullaney and first child born Ben Stephen Clarke in June 2016. Biography Having played soccer as a child up to Under-14 level, Clarke began playing Gaelic football while at school at St. Aidan's CBS, in Dublin. All-Ireland Senior Football Championship 2007
The 2007 Bank of Ireland All-Ireland Senior Football Championship, was a Gaelic football competition in Ireland, and was the most significant and prestigious competition in the sport held that year. It began on 13 May 2007, with the final game took place for Sunday, 16 September. Kerry were the defending champions, as well as the most successful team in the competition. Donegal entered the Championship as the unbeaten National League champions, as well as having been runners-up to Tyrone in the 2007 Dr. McKenna Cup. The draw for the provincial championships took place on 4 November 2006. Kerry retained their championship, the first team to do so since Cork won back-to-back titles in 1989 and 1990. O'Byrne Cup
The Bord na Móna O'Byrne Cup is a Gaelic football competition organised by the Leinster GAA and first staged in 1954. The competition is named after Matt Byrne, a former Wicklow GAA club and county officer. By virtue of a quirk in translation, the Corn Uí Bhroin became known as the O'Byrne cup even though Matt had never used an 'O' in his surname. Byrne was born on February 14, 1870, was a native of Baltinglass and taught at the local national school on Chapel Hill. Deeply involved in GAA activities at any levels throughout his life, he was regarded as a good footballer in his youth as well as an excellent handballer. He was the first secretary of the Maurice Davins' club in Baltinglass and served as a member of the Wicklow County Board for over 50 years, mostly as county registrar. Croke Park ( ga, Páirc an Chrócaigh, ) is a Gaelic games stadium in Dublin, Ireland. Named after Archbishop Thomas Croke, it is referred to as Croker by GAA fans and locals. It serves as both the principal national stadium of Ireland and headquarters of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA).
