Paul ( la, Paulus; grc-gre, Παύλος, Paúlos; before 717/18 – 726/27) was a senior Byzantine official under Leo III the Isaurian, serving as the '' strategos'' of Sicily, and then as the Exarch of Ravenna from 723 until his death. Noel Paul Stookey (born December 30, 1937) is an American singer-songwriter who was famous for being in the 1960s folk trio Peter, Paul and Mary; however, he has been known by his first name, Noel, throughout his life.
