Paul Annett
Paul Anthony Annett (18 February 1937 - 11 December 2017) was an English film and television director. Biography Annett directed numerous television programmes including '' Poldark'' and ''EastEnders''. His daughter is actress Chloë Annett. He died on 11 December 2017 and was buried on the eastern side of Highgate Cemetery. Sherlock Holmes (1984 TV Series)
''Sherlock Holmes'' is the overall title given to the series of Sherlock Holmes adaptations produced by the British television company ITV Granada, Granada Television between 1984 and 1994. The first two series were shown under the title ''The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes'' and were followed by subsequent series with the titles of other short story collections by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Of the 60 Holmes stories written by Doyle, 43 were adapted in the series, spanning 36 one-hour episodes and five feature-length specials. Byker Grove
Byker is a district in the east of the city and metropolitan borough of Newcastle upon Tyne. Home to the Byker Wall estate, made famous by TV series ''Byker Grove'', Byker’s population was recorded at 12,206 in the 2011 census. Byker is bordered by Heaton to the north and by Shieldfield to the north east. In popular culture Byker became well known as the setting of the BBC TV series ''Byker Grove'' (1989–2006); although set in the ward, the youth club featured in the series was filmed at The Mitre in the Benwell area in the west end of Newcastle. ''Within These Walls'' is a British television drama programme made by London Weekend Television for ITV and shown between 1974 and 1978. It portrayed life in HMP Stone Park, a fictional women's prison. ''Secret Army'' is a British television drama made by the BBC and the Belgian national broadcaster BRT (now VRT) created by Gerard Glaister. It tells the story of a fictional Belgian resistance movement in German-occupied Belgium during the Second World War dedicated to returning Allied airmen, usually having been shot down by the Luftwaffe, to Great Britain.
