Pau Oco State Park
The Pau Oco State Park ( pt, Parque Estadual do Pau-Oco) is a state park in the state of Paraná, Brazil. It protects an area of Atlantic Forest. The main attraction is the Salto da Fortuna, a waterfall. Location The Pau Oco State Park has an area of in the municipality of Morretes, Paraná. It is part of the Lagamar Mosaic. The park contains the Salto da Fortuna, a waterfall that may be reached by a trail taking about four hours round trip. The fall is high and has a large natural pool at its base where visitors may bathe. A local guide is required. The trail is of medium difficulty, crosses rivers, and includes sections and ruins of the old Arraial Colonial Route, now replaced by BR-277. The Arraial Colonial Way was opened between 1586 and 1590. There is an old chapel used by the miners of that time to request protection on their expeditions into the Serra do Mar. Morretes
Morretes is a small historic city of the Brazilian state of Paraná. It has a population of around 16,000 people. It is famous for its restaurants, especially a traditional dish called ''barreado''. Paraná (state)

The Atlantic Forest ( pt, Mata Atlântica) is a South American forest that extends along the Atlantic coast of Brazil from Rio Grande do Norte state in the northeast to Rio Grande do Sul state in the south and inland as far as Paraguay and the Misiones Province of Argentina, where the region is known as Selva Misionera. Lagamar Mosaic
The Lagamar Mosaic ( pt, Mosaico do Lagamar is a protected area mosaic that includes a number of conservation units in the states of São Paulo and Paraná, Brazil. History The Lagamar Mosaic was established by federal ordinance 150 of 8 May 2006. The project was supported by the "Mangroves of Brazil" project as a way of leveraging joint action among the municipal, state and federal mangrove conservation units. In 2009 about 40% of the area was included as a pilot area of the "Mangroves of Brazil" project. The mosaic council was formed in October 2013, and included representatives of various government and civil society organisations. BR-277 is a federal highway of Brazil, across the state of Paraná, between the town of Paranaguá and Foz do Iguaçu. Economic importance The highway has high economic importance for Brazil and even for Paraguay, as it connects the Brazil-Paraguay border with Port of Paranaguá. On the border there is intense trade between the two countries; there is great tourism in the Foz do Iguaçu area due to the border trade and mainly because of the Iguaçu Falls.
