Patti Anne Lodge
Patti Anne Lodge (born July 29, 1942) is a Republican Idaho State Senator representing District 11 since 2012. She previously represented District 13 of the Idaho Senate from 2002 to 2012 and District 11 from 2000-2002. Early life and career Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Lodge moved to Idaho at age four, where she attended Boise State University, Idaho State University, Northwest Nazarene University, and the University of Idaho. She received her BA in 1964, at Marylhurst University in Oregon. She has been a consultant at Saint Paul’s School, Our Lady of the Valley since 1999, and president of Wind Ridge Vineyards since 1988. She was previously a media educator at Caldwell School District from 1968 to 1999 and media coordinator at Caldwell School District from 1982 to 1997. The American Legislative Exchange Council, otherwise known by the acronym ALEC, is a non-profit 501(c) political organization established in 1973 in Chicago. The legislative members are state and federal legislators. It is a forum to allow the members to write model laws and discuss legislative language with other members. ALEC meetings are an opportunity for the corporate and non-profit leaders to meet and provide feedback to legislators. Lawerence Denney (born February 25, 1948) is the secretary of state of Idaho. A Republican, Denney previously served as a member of the Idaho House of Representatives, including three terms as Speaker of the Idaho House of Representatives. Ben T. Ysursa (born June 10, 1949) is an American attorney and politician who served as the Secretary of State of Idaho from 2003 to 2015. Early life and education A native of Boise, Idaho, Ysursa graduated from Bishop Kelly High School in 1967. He earned a bachelor's degree from Gonzaga University in 1971 and a Juris Doctor from the Saint Louis University School of Law in 1974. Career Ysursa was admitted to the Idaho State Bar in 1974. From 1974 to 2003, Ysursa served in the Idaho Secretary of State office under his predecessor, Pete T. Cenarrusa. He held the positions of Deputy Secretary of State (1974–1976) and Chief Deputy Secretary of State (1976–2003). Ysursa was elected Secretary of State in 2002 with 77.5 percent of the vote.
