Patsy Ann Kurth
Patsy Ann Gephardt Kurth (February 2, 1941 – April 27, 2011) was a member of the Florida Senate representing the 16th district from 1990 to 1992 and the 15th district from 1992 to 2000. She was born in Washington, Missouri on February 2, 1941, and came to Brevard County in 1962. In 2000, she ran for a seat in the U.S House of Representatives representing Florida's 15th congressional district but was defeated by Dave Weldon. She was the cousin of Richard Gephardt Richard Andrew Gephardt (; born January 31, 1941) is an American attorney, lobbyist, and politician who served as a United States Representative from Missouri from 1977 to 2005. Florida Senate
The Florida Senate is the upper house of the Florida Legislature, the state legislature of the U.S. state of Florida, the Florida House of Representatives being the lower house. Article III, Section 1 of the Constitution of Florida, adopted in 1968, defines the role of the Legislature and how it is to be constituted. The Senate is composed of 40 members, each elected from a single-member district with a population of approximately 540,000 residents. Legislative districts are drawn on the basis of population figures, provided by the federal decennial census. Senators' terms begin immediately upon their election. Dick Gephardt
Richard Andrew Gephardt (; born January 31, 1941) is an American attorney, lobbyist, and politician who served as a United States House of Representatives, United States Representative from Missouri from 1977 to 2005. A member of the Democratic Party (United States), Democratic Party, he was Majority Leader of the U.S. House of Representatives, House Majority Leader from 1989 to 1995 and Minority Leader of the U.S. House of Representatives, Minority Leader from 1995 to 2003. Toni Jennings
Antoinette Jennings (born May 17, 1949) is an American politician who was the 16th lieutenant governor of Florida. She was nominated to the office by Governor Jeb Bush in February 2003 to replace Frank Brogan, who resigned to become president of Florida Atlantic University. She was sworn in on March 3, 2003, becoming the first woman to hold the office. She declined to run for governor in 2006 even though she was reputed to be Bush's preferred choice as his successor. After the 2006 elections, Jennings was replaced as lieutenant governor by Jeff Kottkamp, on January 2, 2007. Jennings previously served in the Florida House of Representatives from 1976–1980, and in the Florida Senate, from 1980–2000. David Joseph Weldon (born August 31, 1953) is an American politician and physician. He was a Republican member of the United States House of Representatives, representing , and was an unsuccessful candidate for the Republican nomination in Florida's 2012 U.S. Senate race. Early life, education, and medical career Weldon was born on Long Island, New York to Anna (née Mallardi) and David David Joseph Weldon Sr. His father was a combat-decorated World War II veteran.
