Patrik Rybár
Patrik Rybár (born 9 November 1993) is a Slovak professional ice hockey goaltender for HC Spartak Moscow in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). Playing career Rybár began his professional career for HC Slovan Bratislava of the Slovak Extraliga during the 2010–11 season, appearing in one game. He has split his last four professional seasons between Slovakia and the Czech Republic, totaling a 47–26 record, 1.93 goals-against average (GAA), .927 save percentage, and nine shutouts in two seasons with Mountfield HK from 2016 to 2018, and posting a 3.07 GAA and .920 save percentage with ŠHK 37 Piešťany in the Slovakian Extraliga from 2014 to 2016, including the Slovak Extraliga's top save percentage (.933) in 2015–16. Goaltender
In ice hockey, the goaltender (commonly referred to as the goalie) is the player responsible for preventing the hockey puck from entering their team's net, thus preventing the opposing team from scoring. The goaltender mostly plays in or near the area in front of the net called the ''Ice hockey rink#Crease, goal crease'' (often referred to simply as '' the crease''). Goaltenders tend to stay at or beyond the top of the crease to cut down on the angle of shots. 2014–15 Slovak Extraliga Season
The 2014–15 Slovak Extraliga season was the 22nd season of the Slovak Extraliga, the highest level of ice hockey in Slovakia. Teams The following teams are participating in the 2014–15 season. The HK Orange 20 is a project for preparation of the Slovakia junior ice hockey team for the IIHF World U20 Championship. 2018 IIHF World Championship
The 2018 IIHF World Championship was an international ice hockey tournament hosted by the Danish cities of Copenhagen and Herning, held from 4–20 May 2018. The IIHF announced the winning bid on 23 May 2014 in Minsk, Belarus. South Korea made its debut at the World Championship, having played in the lower divisions previously. Sweden went undefeated at the tournament to win their second consecutive and eleventh overall title after defeating Switzerland in the final. The United States won the bronze medal game, defeating Canada 4–1. Slovakia Men's National Ice Hockey Team
The Slovakia men's national ice hockey team is the national ice hockey team of Slovakia and is controlled by the Slovak Ice Hockey Federation. A successor to the Czechoslovakia national team, it is one of the most successful national ice hockey teams in the world. The team's general manager is Miroslav Šatan and their head coach is Craig Ramsay. The men's tournament in ice hockey at the 2022 Winter Olympics took place in Beijing, China between 9 and 20 February 2022. Twelve countries qualified for the tournament; eight of them did so automatically by virtue of their ranking by the International Ice Hockey Federation, one, China, automatically qualified as hosts, while the three others took part in a qualification tournament. American Hockey League
The American Hockey League (AHL) is a professional ice hockey league based in the United States and Canada that serves as the primary Minor league#Ice hockey, developmental league for the National Hockey League (NHL).
