Patrick Voss
Patrick Voss (born 29 June 2003) is an Australian rules footballer who plays with the Fremantle Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Early career Voss grew up in the Riverina region of New South Wales, which enabled him to join the Greater Western Sydney Giants junior academy program. He later moved to Melbourne where he attended Wesley College and played for the Oakleigh Chargers in the Under 18's Talent League. He was drafted by with the ninth selection in the 2022 rookie draft. He spent two years at Essendon, but did not make his AFL debut before being delisted at the end of the 2023 AFL season. AFL career Voss was one of four players invited to train with before the 2024 AFL season. He was eventually successful in being selected during the pre-season supplemental selection period. Oakleigh Chargers
The Oakleigh Chargers is an Australian rules football club playing in the NAB League, the top statewide under-18 competition in Victoria, Australia. They are based at Warrawee Park in Oakleigh, Victoria, representing the southeastern suburban area of Melbourne. The Chargers were one of two additional metropolitan clubs introduced to the competition in 1995 as part of a plan by the AFL to replace the traditional club zones with independent junior clubs. This was to help aid in player development and the process of the AFL draft. In June 2008 the Chargers moved into a new pavilion at Warrawee Park. The chargers are aligned to Collingwood, Richmond & Port Melbourne. In Australian rules football, a player can score a goal by kicking the oval ball between the two central goal posts. 298 players are recognised to have scored a goal with their first kick in the sport's premier competition, the Australian Football League (AFL), known before 1990 as the Victorian Football League (VFL). These players are often said to have joined an "elite" and "exclusive" club. Rarer still are players who have scored goals from their first two kicks – a mere 40 of these players have been recorded. The Talent League (also known as the Coates Talent League under naming rights and previously as the NAB League and TAC Cup) is an under-19 Australian rules football representative competition held in Australia. It is based on geographic regions throughout country Victoria and metropolitan Melbourne with each team representing one of twelve Victorian regions, while a thirteenth team from Tasmania was reintroduced in 2019.
