Patrick T. Welsh
Patrick T. Welsh (August 12, 1950 – April 3, 2007) was a politician, steelworker and realtor from Dundalk, Maryland. He served as a member of the Maryland House of Delegates from 1975 to 1978 and served as a member of the Maryland Senate, representing Maryland Legislative District 8, District 8 from 1979 to 1982. Early life and education Patrick T. Welsh was born on August 12, 1950, in Baltimore. He attended parochial schools in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, Anne Arundel County. He graduated from St. Joseph's High School in Irvington, Baltimore, Irvington in 1968. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in economics and political science from Towson University, Towson State College in 1972. He later was a graduate of the Realtor Institute. Maryland Legislative District 8
Maryland's Legislative District 8 is one of 47 districts in the state for the Maryland General Assembly. The district currently consists of part of Baltimore County, Maryland. The district includes the communities of Carney, Overlea, Parkville, Perry Hall, Rosedale, Rossville, Towson, and White Marsh. The District was established in 1975. The district also represented a small portion of Northeast Baltimore City, Maryland from 1995 to 2002. The district is represented by one State Senator and three State Delegates all of which serve four year terms elected during the Maryland Gubernatorial Elections. Demographic characteristics As of the 2020 United States census, the district had a population of 128,063, of whom 100,573 (78.5%) were of voting age.
