Patrick Painter
Patrick Painter (born Patrick Lee Painter, April 27, 1954, Long Beach, California), is an Irish-American art dealer who runs Patrick Painter Inc., which includes two art galleries in Bergamot Station, Santa Monica, California; he also owns Patrick Painter Editions. Painter was mentored by art dealer Leo Castelli and curator Walter Hopps. In 1991, he began Patrick Painter Editions in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada and Hong Kong, with his first edition (of three) being two prints by Roy Arden. The next year, he made editions for Richard Prince, Larry Johnson, and Jeff Wall, among others. Mike Kelley (artist)
Michael Kelley (October 27, 1954 – January 31, 2012) was an American artist. His work involved found objects, textile banners, drawings, assemblage, collage, performance and video. He often worked collaboratively and had produced projects with artists Paul McCarthy, Tony Oursler, and John Miller. Writing in ''The New York Times'', in 2012, Holland Cotter described the artist as "one of the most influential American artists of the past quarter century and a pungent commentator on American class, popular culture and youthful rebellion." Art & Language is a conceptual artists' collaboration that has undergone many changes since it was created in the late 1960s. The group was founded by artists who shared a common desire to combine intellectual ideas and concerns with the creation of art. The first issue of the group's journal, ''Art-Language'', was published in November 1969 in England. Douglas Huebler
Douglas Huebler (October 27, 1924 – July 12, 1997) was an American conceptual artist. Life and career Douglas Huebler grew up in rural Michigan during the Depression and served in the Marines in World War II. After the war, funded by the GI Bill, Huebler earned his bachelor's and master's degrees at the University of Michigan, and later went on to study at the Académie Julian in Paris. He worked for several years as a commercial art illustrator in New York as he established himself as an artist. Initially a painter, Huebler moved on to produce geometric Formica sculptures in the early '60s, which aligned him with the Minimalist movement. In 1969, he participated, with Joseph Kosuth, Robert Barry and Lawrence Weiner, in a landmark exhibition of conceptual art curated by Seth Siegelaub. Collier Schorr
Collier Schorr (born 1963) is an American artist and fashion photographer best known for adolescent portraits that blend photographic realism with elements of fiction and youthful fantasy. Schorr grew up in Queens, New York and studied journalism at the School of Visual Arts. In the 1980s and 1990s she also worked actively as an art critic. Glenn Brown (born 1966 in Hexham, Northumberland) is a British artist known for the use of appropriation in his paintings. Starting with reproductions from other artists' works, Glenn Brown transforms the appropriated image by changing its colour, position, orientation, height and width relationship, mood and/or size.
