Patrick Hogan (soccer)
Patrick Hogan (born September 17, 1997) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a defender for Pittsburgh Riverhounds in the USL Championship. Career Youth Hogan attended Charlotte Catholic High School and played club soccer as part of the USSF side Charlotte Soccer Academy. He was named to TopDrawerSoccer.com's Best XI for the 2014 USSDA Summer Showcase. At high school Hogan earned Honor Roll all four years and was as a member of Charlotte Catholic's National Honor Society. College and amateur Hogan played college soccer at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte between 2017 and 2020. He redshirted his freshman season and his senior season was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. During his four seasons with the 49ers, Hogan made 64 appearances and scored 9 goals. The Hermann Trophy is awarded annually by the Missouri Athletic Club to the United States's top men's and women's college soccer players. History In 1967, Bob Hermann, the president of the National Professional Soccer League (NPSL) and the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the NPSL's successor, the North American Soccer League, established a trophy to annually recognize the top men's collegiate soccer player. Loudoun United FC is an American professional soccer team based in Leesburg, Virginia. The team was founded in 2018 as the reserve team of D.C. United and made its debut in the USL Championship in 2019. History On July 18, 2018, the team was officially announced by USL and D.C. United as were the team's name, colors and crest. Loudoun United FC replaced Richmond Kickers as D.C. United's USL affiliate. Colors and badge Loudoun United FC colors are black, red and white, the same as parent club D.C. United. The club's crest contains the red-and-white gyronny seen in the flag and coat of arms of Loudoun County, as well as a winged horse in homage to both D.C.
