Patrick Henry High School (Hamler, Ohio)
Patrick Henry High School is a public high school in Hamler, Ohio. It is the only high school in the Patrick Henry Local Schools district. Named for American Founding Father Patrick Henry, their nickname is the Patriots with their colors being Red, White, and Blue. They are members of the Northwest Ohio Athletic League. Patrick Henry consolidated in 1969 and houses students from Hamler, Deshler and Malinta, Ohio. Academics The Ohio Department of Education ranked the district as Excellent from 2002 to 2012, and it has also been included in a national "Top 100 High Schools That Work" grouping. The Northwest Ohio Athletic League (NWOAL) is a high school sports league in the U.S. state of Ohio. Beginning in 1926, it is officially the oldest athletic league in the state of Ohio. The league sponsors many sports, including: football, boys & girls cross country, volleyball, boys & girls soccer, wrestling, golf, boys & girls basketball, baseball, softball, and boys & girls track & field. Marc Krauss
Marc Stuart Krauss (born October 5, 1987) is an American former professional baseball first baseman and outfielder. He has played in MLB for the Houston Astros, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Tampa Bay Rays, and Detroit Tigers. Krauss played college baseball at Ohio University, where he was named an All-American. He was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2009, and was later traded to the Houston Astros in 2012. Krauss made his major league debut with the Astros in 2013. The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) is an international non-profit Christian sports ministry founded in 1954 and based in Kansas City, Missouri. National Honor Society
The National Honor Society (NHS) is a nationwide organization for high school students in the United States and outlying territories, which consists of many chapters in high schools. Selection is based on four criteria: scholarship (academic achievement), leadership, service, and character. Deshler is a village in Henry County, Ohio, United States. The population was 1,799 at the 2010 census. History Deshler was platted in 1873, and named for John G. Deshler, the original owner of the town site. A post office has been in operation at Deshler since 1872. The village was incorporated in 1876.
