Patrick Berg (born 24 November 1997) is a Norwegian professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Eliteserien club Bodø/Glimt. Club career Bodø/Glimt Berg was born in Bodø. He made his senior debut for Bodø/Glimt on 12 July 2014 in a 3–0 loss to Odd. Lens On 20 December 2021, Berg signed for Ligue 1 side Lens on a contract until 2026. The transfer fee paid to Bodø/Glimt was reportedly of €4.5 million. Return to Bodø/Glimt On 29 August 2022, Berg returned to Bodø/Glimt and signed a five-year contract. International career On 24 March 2021, Berg made his international debut for the Norway national team, in a World Cup qualifier against Gibraltar, making him Norway's first ever third-generation international footballer. Fotballklubben Bodø/Glimt () is a Norwegian professional football club from the town of Bodø that currently plays in Eliteserien, the Norwegian top division. The club was founded in 1916 and is frequently referred to by its original club name, "''Glimt''". Bodø/Glimt are the reigning champions in Norway after winning 2021 Eliteserien. They also have won the now defunct Northern Norwegian Cup nine times, Norwegian Cup twice, the Norwegian top division twice, in 2020 and in 2021, and finished second in 1977, 1993, 2003, and 2019. They were the first team from northern Norway to win a national title by winning the cup in 1975, and also the first team from the region to win the national league. Knut Berg (footballer)
Knut Berg (4 August 1925 – 29 November 2007) was a Norwegian art historian and museologist. Biography He was born in Oslo, Norway. He was the son of architect and antiquarian Arno Berg (1890–1974) and Signe Mowinckel Larsen (1887–1966). His father was the first head of the department for cultural heritage in Oslo. He studied at the University of Oslo obtaining a master's degree in art history in 1953. He continued his medieval studies in the United Kingdom, Italy and France. In 1967 he became dr.philos. Berg was assigned with the National Gallery of Norway for thirty years, and served as director of the museum for 22 years, from 1973 to 1995. His works include the 7-volume ''Norges kunsthistorie'' (principal editor and contributor) and ''Norges malerkunst'' (1993), and he was project leader for ''Norsk Kunstnerleksikon'', jointly with Stephan Tschudi-Madsen (1923–2007). 2021 FK Bodø/Glimt Season
The 2021 season was the club's fourth straight campaign in the Eliteserien since their promotion in 2017. Bodø/Glimt entered the campaign as league champions, winning their first ever Norwegian title in 2020. 2020 FK Bodø/Glimt Season
The 2020 season was Bodø/Glimt's third season back in the Eliteserien since their relegation at the end of the 2016 season. They finished as champions of the Eliteserien for the first time, and in turn qualified for the UEFA Champions League for the first time, whilst the Norwegian Cup was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Norway. In Europe, Bodø/Glimt reached the Third Qualifying Round of the Europa League where they were knocked out by Milan. Norwegian First Division
The Norwegian First Division, also called 1. divisjon and OBOS-ligaen (named sponsor is property developer OBOS), is the second-highest level of the Norwegian football league system.
