Patricia R. Bellock
Patricia R. Bellock (born October 14, 1946) is a former Republican member of the Illinois House of Representatives, representing the 47th district from 1998 to 2018. The district, since the 2001 remap, encompasses a portion of southeastern DuPage County. Bellock serves on six committees: Aging, Human Services, International Trade and Commerce, Financial Institutions, Developmental Disabilities and Mental Illness, and Registration and Regulation. On August 1, 2017, Bellock announced her intention to retire at the end of her term. She later chose to resign early and allow the Republican nominee for the 2018 general election, Deanne Mazzochi, to be appointed by local Republican leaders to the seat. Deanne Mazzochi
Deanne Marie Mazzochi is a politician who served as a Republican member of the Illinois House of Representatives from the 47th district from 2018 to 2023. The 47th district included all or parts of Elmhurst, Oak Brook, Oakbrook Terrace, Western Springs, Clarendon Hills, Hinsdale, Westmont, and Downers Grove. She was the Chair of the College of DuPage Board of Trustees prior to her appointment to the Illinois House of Representatives. Mazzochi was sworn in to succeed Patti Bellock on July 15, 2018. She was re-elected in 2020. She lost re-election in 2022 to Democrat Jenn Ladisch Douglass and has not publicly acknowledged or conceded her loss since then. Illinois's 13th Congressional District
The 13th congressional district of Illinois is currently represented by Democrat Nikki Budzinski. Redistricting 2020 redistricting Following the 2020 census and the subsequent redistricting cycle, the 13th congressional district was significantly altered to include sections of the cities of Champaign, Springfield, and the Metro East of St. Louis. All of Macoupin County, and sections of Champaign, Macon, Madison, Piatt, Sangamon, and St. Clair Counties, are included in the new 13th.
