Patricia Janečková
Patricia Burda Janečková (18 June 1998 – 1 October 2023) was a Slovak soprano. She was the winner of the Czech–Slovak television show ' in November 2010 and gained international recognition through the broadcasting of CNN television shortly after winning. Early life Janečková was born in Münchberg to Slovak parents. Shortly after, her family moved to Ostrava in the Czech Republic. She started singing at four years old. After graduating from primary school, she began studying voice at the . Professional career Janečková first performed publicly at the Antonín Dvořák Theatre, accompanied by the Janáček Philharmonic Orchestra. Subsequent to this, she went on to win the ''Talentmania'' competition in 2010, at age 12, having received over 1 million votes. In 2014, she won the international singing competition at the ''Concorso Internazionale di Musica Sacra'' in Rome. Münchberg is a small town in Upper Franconia (Bavaria), Germany. It is sometimes referred to as the ''Textile Town of Bavaria''. Its sister city is Jefferson City, Missouri, United States.
