Patricia Green is an American television producer and writer. Career Green worked as a writer and producer on ''Cagney & Lacey'' and won two Emmy Awards for her work on the series. The first was in 1985 for Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series. The second was in 1986 for Outstanding Drama Series. She became a supervising producer and writer on ''China Beach''. In 1989 she won a Humanitas Prize for her work on ''China Beach'' and was also nominated for an Emmy Award. She moved on to become a writer and supervising producer for '' L.A. Law'' in 1990. She was promoted to executive producer after one season. She was nominated for an Emmy Award for writing in 1991 for her work on the ''L.A. Law'' episode "Mutinies On The Banzai". ''Cagney & Lacey'' is an American police procedural drama television series that aired on the CBS television network for seven seasons from March 25, 1982, to May 16, 1988. The show is about two New York City police detectives who lead very different lives: Christine Cagney (Sharon Gless) is a career-minded single woman, while Mary Beth Lacey (Tyne Daly) is a married working mother. The series is set in a fictionalized version of Manhattan's 14th Precinct (known as "Midtown South"). The pilot movie had Loretta Swit in the role of Cagney, while the first six episodes had Meg Foster in the role. John Marcum Wells (born May 28, 1956) is an American theater, film, and television writer, director, and producer. John Hill was an American screenwriter and television producer. He was originally from Prairie Village, Kansas. He got his start in Hollywood when he penned the 1976 TV movie '' Griffin and Phoenix'', starring Peter Falk and Jill Clayburgh. The original title was ''The fading away of Griffin and Phoenix''. ABC thought that too morbid, so he had to change it. In 1980 his film ''Heartbeeps'' was released, starring Andy Kaufman and Bernadette Peters. He was also commissioned to novelize both scripts (the first appearing under the TV movie's original title, ''Griffin Loves'' ''Phoenix''), exercising his contractual first-refusal right to do the prose adaptations himself; and years later, in personal conversation with a colleague who knew of the books, Hill confessed that he loved working on them because "they taught me how to be a novelist."
