Al Paton is a musician from South Africa and Namibia. Music career 1990s In the 1990s, Paton supported Springbok Nude Girls and Johnny Clegg. He co-formed the band Desert Velvet which won the NBC Music Makers Award and the Stage Magazine Recording Sponsorship. David Paton (architect)
David Paton (1801 – 1882) was a Scotland, Scottish architect and builder, who temporarily worked in the United States in the 1830s and was important in his role of supervising the completion of the North Carolina State Capitol. He returned to the United States in 1849 to teach architecture and remained for the rest of his life. Life He was born in Edinburgh the third child of twelve to John Paton, builder and Elenor Roper Paton. His father was the builder of much of Edinburgh's New Town, Edinburgh, Second New Town. He attended Edinburgh University before training as an architect and builder. In 1825 he appears to have travelled to Paris in France as several of his drawings from this period survive. On 23 January 1829 he married Mary Nichol in Edinburgh. They had one daughter, Eleanor Murray Paton (1830-1902). However the marriage was short-lived as his wife died early in 1833. Frank Paton
Frank Paton (23 November 1855 – 13 November 1909) was an English artist of the Victorian and Edwardian eras, best known for his paintings of animals and scenes of rural life. He was a successful artist during his lifetime and could even count Queen Victoria as an admirer of his work. Florence Beatrice Paton (''née'' Widdowson; 1 June 1891 – 12 October 1976) was a Labour Party politician in the United Kingdom, and a Member of Parliament (MP) from 1945 to 1950. Professor Evgeny Oscarovich Paton (russian: Евгений Оскарович Патон, 1870–1953) was a Ukrainian and Soviet engineer of Ukrainian descent who established the E. O. Paton Electric Welding Institute in Kyiv. Paton was a people's deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the Soviet Union (1946–1953). He was the father of Borys Paton. Ernest Forrester Paton (1891–1970), also known by the Thamil name Chinnannan, was a Scottish United Free Church medical missionary to Pune, part of then-Bombay Presidency. Diarmid Noël Paton, (19 March 1859 – 30 September 1928), known as Noël Paton, was a Scottish physician and academic. From 1906 to 1928, he was the Regius Professor of Physiology at the University of Glasgow. Personal life and education Paton was born at 37 Drummond Place in Edinburgh's New Town, the son of Margaret (née Ferrier) and Joseph Noel Paton. His father worked as an artist.
