Patchewollock is a town in north-west Victoria, Australia. At the 2016 census, Patchewollock had a population of 133. The name Patchewollock originated from two Aboriginal words: ''putje'', plenty, and ''wallah'', porcupine grass. The town was first established after the First World War, when soldier settlement blocks were appearing in the area. A post office (originally a receiving office) opened on 27 July 1920. Tempy is a locality in Victoria, Australia, located approximately 136 km from Mildura, Victoria and south of Ouyen. Walpeup is a town in the Mallee region of north west Victoria. The town is in the Rural City of Mildura local government area and on the Mallee Highway and Pinnaroo railway line between Ouyen and the South Australian border, north west of the state capital, Melbourne and south west of the regional centre of Mildura. Mildura is an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of Victoria and sits within the Northern Victoria electorate. It is a 37,529 km2 rural electorate in the far-north-west of the state, encompassing the regional towns of Hopetoun, Mildura, Ouyen, Red Cliffs and Robinvale. It is currently represented by independent Ali Cupper. The Mallee covers the most northwesterly part of Victoria, bounded by the South Australian and New South Wales borders. Definitions of the south-eastern boundary vary, however, all are based on the historic Victorian distribution of mallee eucalypts.
