Patari Union
Patari ( bn, পাতাড়ী) is a union parishad under Sapahar Upazila, Naogaon District, Bangladesh. It is bound by West Bengal of India on the north and west, Goala Union on the south, and Aihai Union on the east. The main river is Punarbhaba River. Demographics According to the 2011 Bangladesh census, Patari Union had 5,240 households and a population of 25,328. The literacy rate (age 7 and over) was 30.8%, compared to the national average of 51.8%. Economy Most of the people of the Patari Union depend on agriculture. The employment breakdown is agriculture 48.15%, agricultural labourer 23.58%, wage labourer 3.07%, commerce 8.14%, service 5.49%, others 9.57%. Union Councils Of Bangladesh
Union council ( bn, ইউনিয়ন পরিষদ, translit=iūniyan pariṣad, translit-std=IAST), also known as union parishad, rural council, rural union and simply union, is the smallest rural administrative and local government unit in Bangladesh. Each union council is made up of nine wards. Usually one village is designated as a ward. There are 4,562 unions in Bangladesh. Sapahar ( bn, সাপাহার) is an upazila of Naogaon District in the Division of Rajshahi, Bangladesh. Geography Sapahar is located at 25.1250°N 88.5819°E. It has 19,770 house holds and total area 244.49 km2. Sapahar Upazila is bounded by Tapan CD Block in Dakshin Dinajpur district, West Bengal, India, on the north, Patnitala Upazila on the east, Porsha Upazila on the south, and Bamangola CD Block, in Malda district, West Bengal, on the west. Naogaon District ( bn, নওগাঁ, Nôugã) is a district in northern Bangladesh, part of the Rajshahi Division. It is named after its headquarters, the city of Naogaon in Naogaon Sadar Upazila. Demographics According to the 2022 Census of Bangladesh, Naogaon District had a population of 2,784,598, of which 13,74,312 were males and 14,08,840 females. The rural population was 23,67,082 (85.01%) while the urban population was 4,16,243 (14.99%). 2011 Bangladesh Census
In 2011, the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics, conducted a national census in Bangladesh, which provided a provisional estimate of the total population of the country as 142,319,000. The previous decennial census was the 2001 census. Data were recorded from all of the districts and upazilas and main cities in Bangladesh including statistical data on population size, households, sex and age distribution, marital status, economically active population, literacy and educational attainment, religion, number of children etc. Bangladesh and India also conducted their first joint census of areas along their border in 2011. According to the census, Hindus constituted 8.5 per cent of the population as of 2011, down from 9.6 per cent in the 2001 census. Bangladesh have a population of 144,043,697 as per 2011 census report. Asiatic Society Of Bangladesh
The Asiatic Society of Bangladesh is a non political and non profit research organisation registered under both Society Act of 1864 and NGO Bureau, Government of Bangladesh. The Asiatic Society of Bangladesh was established as the Asiatic Society of East Pakistan in Dhaka in 1952 by a number of Muslim leaders, and renamed in 1972. Ahmed Hasan Dani, a noted Muslim historian and archaeologist of Pakistan played an important role in founding this society. He was assisted by Muhammad Shahidullah, a Bengali linguist.
