Pat Davern
Pat Davern is an Australian musician and the guitarist for Grinspoon. His solo album ''Alexander the Elephant in Zanzibar'' was nominated for the 2016 ARIA Award for Best Children's Album. During a hiatus for Grinspoon Davern wrote a book "Alexander the Elephant in Zanzibar" which was illustrated by Martin Chatterton. The book was launched in November 2015. Davern also recorded an album version of the book. It featured appearances from Tom Williams, Pete Murray, Alex Lloyd, Megan Washington, Connie Mitchell Connie Thembi Mitchell (born ), also known as Miss Connie, is a South African-born Australian singer-songwriter. Grinspoon
Grinspoon are an Australian Rock music, rock band from Lismore, New South Wales, formed in 1995 and fronted by Phil Jamieson on vocals and guitar with Pat Davern on guitar, Joe Hansen on bass guitar and Kristian Hopes on drums. Also in 1995, Grinspoon won the Triple J-sponsored Unearthed (talent contest), Unearthed competition for Lismore, with their post-grunge song "Grinspoon (EP), Sickfest". The name "Grinspoon" was taken from Lester Grinspoon, Dr. Lester Grinspoon, an associate professor emeritus of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, who supported marijuana for medical use. The Grinspoon sound changed to more mainstream rock at the release of the 2002 album, ''New Detention'', gaining fans and peaking at No. 2 on the ARIA Charts, ARIA Albums Charts; similarly 2007's ''Alibis & Other Lies'' also reached No. 2. Tom Williams (presenter)
Thomas Williams (born 16 October 1970, Sydney) is an Australian television personality and radio presenter. Williams had previously been a co-host of ''The Daily Edition'' and a long-time presenter for the Seven Sport team. Career Williams graduated from the Jesuit St Aloysius' College and worked as a construction worker, model and competed in surf lifesaving championships. One of Williams' first appearances on television was in the video clip of Melissa Tkautz's debut song " Read My Lips". The turning point in Williams' life occurred in 2000, when he phoned into a radio show hosted by comic duo Merrick & Rosso. Peter Kenneth Murray (born 14 October 1969) is an Australian musician who has had three albums reach number 1 on the Australian (ARIA) charts. Murray has received 17 ARIA nominations throughout his career so far. He has sold over 1.2 million albums in Australia. Alex Lloyd (born 19 November 1974) is an Australian singer-songwriter. Four of his albums, ''Black the Sun'', '' Watching Angels Mend'', '' Distant Light'' and ''Alex Lloyd'', released between 1999 and 2005, made the top ten on the ARIA charts. Lloyd has also won the ARIA Award for Best Male Artist on three occasions. Early life and education Alexander Wasiliev was born to a father of Russian descent and a mother of Irish descent.
