Pasta Museum
The Museum of Pasta (in Italian Museo della pasta) is an Italian ethnographic museum dedicated to pasta. It is located in Corte di Giarola, between Collecchio and Ozzano Taro, in the Province of Parma, a region historically dedicated to the production and processing of pasta. The museum shares space with the Museum of Tomato (in Italian Museo del pomodoro). History In 2001, the Comitato Promotore dei Musei del Cibo (literally the Promoting Committee of Food Museums) was founded. Corte di Giarola (meaning court of Giarola) is an Italian medieval rural court with an inner church, located in the village of Pontescodogna, part of commune of Collecchio, in Province of Parma. Collecchio
Collecchio (Parmigiano: ) is a town in the province of Parma, Emilia-Romagna, northern Italy. It is located by road southwest of the centre of Parma. A major food-producing area, it is home to multinational Italian dairy and food corporation Parmalat and the Parma F.C. training complex, Centro Sportivo di Collecchio, and is connected by railway. Soragna
Soragna (Parmigiano: ) is a town and ''comune'' in the province of Parma of northern Italy with a population of about 4,800. The town is known from 712, when it was mentioned in a document by the Lombard king Liutprand. From 1198 it was a possession of the Lupi family and was an imperial fief (a marquisate from 1347 and a principate from 1709), with the right to mint coins.
