''Passport Quiz'' is a Scottish Gameshow created by Bryan Burnett in which three pairs of contestants competed to win cash and prizes. The programme ran between 1998 and 2002 and was produced by Scottish Television. History Bryan Burnett was the Co-host of Scottish Passport, which started in 1994. Bryan Burnett
Bryan Burnett is a Scottish television and radio presenter, currently best known for his work with BBC Radio Scotland. Burnett began his career at Northsound Radio in Aberdeen, before spending six years with Radio Clyde in Glasgow, where he presented the Top 40 chart show. During the 1990s and early 2000s he presented numerous programmes for Scottish Television, including holiday show ''Scottish Passport'' and game shows '' Passport Quiz'', '' Red Amber Green'' and ''Party Animals.'' Scottish Television (now, legally, known as STV Central Limited) is the ITV network franchisee for Central Scotland. The channel — the largest of the three ITV franchises in Scotland — has been in operation since 31 August 1957 and is the second-oldest franchise holder in the UK that is still active (the oldest being Granada Television). STV Central broadcasts from studios at Pacific Quay in Glasgow and is owned and operated by STV Group (formerly SMG plc), which also owns the Northern Scotland franchise, Grampian Television (now STV North), based in Aberdeen. Grampian Television
Grampian Television was the original name of the Channel 3 service for the north of Scotland founded in 1961 and now named STV. The northern region's coverage area includes the Northern Isles, Western Isles, Highlands (except Fort William and Lochaber) Grampian, Tayside (except the Kinross area), and parts of north Fife. Grampian went on the air on 30 September 1961. The company was bought out in 1997 by STV Group (the parent company of STV, the Channel 3 broadcaster in Central Scotland). The name ''Grampian Television'' was retired in 2006 and the channel is now known as ''STV'' on-air.
