''Passione'' is the second album by British singer Paul Potts. It was released on 13 April 2009 in New Zealand, on 5 May 2009 in the US and on 1 June 2009 in the UK. Potts spent nearly a year recording ''Passione'' in Prague and Stockholm. Track listing Charts The album debuted at number one in New Zealand on 20 April 2009. Paul Potts
Paul Potts (born 13 October 1970) is an English tenor. In 2007, he won the first series of ITV's ''Britain's Got Talent'' with his performance of "Nessun dorma", an aria from Puccini's opera ''Turandot''. As a singer of operatic pop music, Potts recorded the album '' One Chance'', which topped sales charts in 13 countries. Before winning ''Britain's Got Talent'', Potts was a manager at Carphone Warehouse. He had been a Bristol city councillor from 1996 until 2003, and performed in amateur opera from 1999 to 2003. Early life Potts was born on 13 October 1970 in Kingswood, Bristol, and raised in nearby Fishponds by his father Roland, a bus driver, and mother, Yvonne (''née'' Higgins), a supermarket cashier. Carmelo La Bionda
La Bionda were an Italian disco duo consisting of siblings Carmelo (1949–2022) and Michelangelo La Bionda (born 1952). They are considered among the pioneers of the Italo disco music genre. The siblings were born in Ramacca, Sicily and moved to Milan, Lombardy in 1954. History Beginnings Carmelo was born on 2 February 1949, and Michelangelo on 25 August 1952 in Ramacca, Sicily. Keith Stuart Brian Reid (born 19 October 1946 Allmusic.com biography by Jason Ankeny/ref>) is a lyricist and songwriter who wrote the lyrics of every song released by Procol Harum that was not previously recorded by someone else, with the exception of the songs on their 2017 album ''Novum''. Biography Reid grew up in London and is Jewish, the son of a Holocaust survivor. He left school at an early age to pursue a songwriting career. He met Gary Brooker, lead singer with Procol Harum, with whom he co-wrote most of the band's songs (some music was written by organist Matthew Fisher and by guitarist Robin Trower), in 1966. Gary Brooker (29 May 1945 – 19 February 2022) was an English singer and pianist, and the founder and lead singer of the rock band Procol Harum. Early life Born in Hackney Hospital, East London, on 29 May 1945, Brooker grew up in Hackney before the family moved out to Middlesex (Bush Hill Park and then to nearby Edmonton). His father Harry Brooker was a professional musician, playing pedal steel guitar with Felix Mendelssohn's Hawaiian Serenaders, and as a child Brooker learned to play piano, cornet, and trombone. In 1954 the family moved to the seaside resort of Southend-on-Sea, Essex, where Brooker attended Westcliff High School for Boys. Luca Barbarossa (born 15 April 1961, Rome) is an Italian singer-songwriter who has released 12 albums since 1981, and is known for his participation in the 1988 Eurovision Song Contest. Early career In 1980, Barbarossa won the Castrocaro Music Festival, where he was spotted by a producer for the Fonit-Cetra record company, who signed him to a recording contract. As the Castrocaro winner, he was eligible to compete in the 1981 San Remo Festival, where he finished fourth with the self-penned song "Roma spogliata". His first self-titled album was released in the same year, and he toured as support act to Riccardo Cocciante.
